Since it is the language generally understood by Nigerians, then it is a welcome development

Yes. I support. Doing that will bring education to a whole new slice of the population. Imagine books written in pidgin and so on and so forth. BBC, a foreign organization is even pointing the way by establishing BBC Pigdin service. Wazobia FM and co are also doing a great job.

He has a point though since it's generally accepted i see no reason why it can't be considered as an English official language.
