Love is both a noun and a verb, this means that it can be used as name or signify an action. The most misused word among our generation today is LOVE. We have turned it into a word of convenience or deception and instead of bringing pleasant feelings when it is mentioned, some people take to their heels on hearing it. The word “love”, as special and good as it is, has been used to ruin so many people’s life, especially in relationships. Some people have gone bankrupt, dropped out of school, gotten unwanted pregnancy, done several abortions, damaged their womb and even gone ahead to take their own life all because somebody was preaching love to them. In fact in this current dispensation, love is synonymous to sex, if you are talking love and not adding sex, then you are talking nonsense. All fake love!

True Love is sacred, it is pure, peaceful and enjoyable. Love is patient, kind, unconditional and respectful. It does not bring acrimony and hate, it does not vanish on pregnancy or when marriage is mentioned and it is not material. Love has no affinity to money, iPhone or Benz. It is practical, sacrificial , grows as nurtured and It is definitely not sex. True love can exist between anyone or any group of persons. Man and God, parents and children, siblings, man and woman, group of people etc.

When someone says they love you, it should be more practical than theory, not just words. They should respect you and respect the love they have for you. It should reflect in the way they talk to you, the way they give you attention, the way they look at you, how they act around you and how they treat you generally. It should not be with a price or with anterior intentions. It should not come with degrading demands and conditions. No one should tell you they love you and demand you open your legs for it. No one should demand money from you before they show you that they love you. That is not to say that doing any of these is bad, but it should come out of will not coercion by “I love u”.

God loves you and does not demand hell from you, your parents and family loves you and does not demand all the world from you. Do not be deceived with the word “LOVE”. You are love yourself. Learn how to love properly, learn true love and learn how to be loved in return.
