Nigeria Makes History At Cannes Film Festival

For the first time in the history of the Cannes Film Festival, Nigeria joins 30 other countries in the Village Internationale at Cannes Film Festival. Nigeria has paid for Pavilion number 111 at the Riviera in Cannes, to exhibit the best of Nollywood and other notables of the Nigerian film industry. While other countries are competing for prizes, the Nigerians prefer the trade fair.

There was not even a shadow of any of the Nollywood stars on the red carpet. And paparazzi did not even capture anyone of them.
But don't worry, Nollywood stars would be at Pavilion number 111 from next week.

Nigerians are famous for their shopping sprees, so many states in Nigeria are planning to send delegations to Cannes. To do what?
Of course, they are going to Cannes to squander the remaining revenue allocations before May 29.
