4llerbuntu:

nah, funny thing is its actually updated to 2.33 GB officially.

Roms for 2.35 exist and the only non working thing is tethering. which will be solved soon anyways.
the MIUI rom for it is absolutely fantastic.

or u can just use the latest MIUI 1.92 that one works fully.

the thing abt the fone is, get it up to gingerbread.
root it.

remove timescape, touchnote, office, and a whole lot of other stuff u dont like or need. after dealing with it myself i end up with the OS like 95mb on the hardware.

then get urself Titanium backup pro, freeze the remaining crap like sync and setup help rubbish.

then install xrecovery (Gb zidzhu version), flash zdidzhu's fps uncap, bravia engine and audio stutter fix.

GBAM. the fone will be the bestest u ever used. U CAN TAKE THAT TO THE BANK!!!

except of course battery, which is every android user's gripe. just do the usual, disable radios when not in use, turn down the screen brightness.

i get a whole day from my battery now, calls and light use.

5hrs 3.5G browsing if thats what i wanna do

video watching, like 6 hrs etc.

life is ok! grin grin grin

Real assignment !!!

4ller you must really really love ya phone! grin. Funny enough this is almost the same process i went through with my Motorola Droid 2 Global. I have never a seen a company that loads so much crap like Motorola! shocked shocked.

Re: Android, Anyone? by 4llerbuntu(m): 6:18pm On Sep 08, 2011
nope its easy, max 15 mins to do.

how do u pple use your fones without rooting and at least removing bloat?

weird, its like a Nokia S60 user who did not hack the fone. go buy 3310 joor grin grin grin grin

@ double n, i like it a bit. but what id like now is a captivate and a HD2.
rom flashers paradise. two practically unbrickable fones with unlocked bootloaders!!! sweet

haha, lest i forget, bootloader unlock has been announced for the X10 too.
cant wait for some new kernels so i can get freaky. for that, i'll stop using stock rom cool cool cool (yup, u read right i use stock, or rather whats left of it after MY OWN CHOICE of tweaks)

Looks like CM7 is now officially supported for Desire S. I've downloaded all the necessary files, all that's left is to back up my current rom and spend a day meditating and summoning the liver for the crossover.

There's a version available on XDA forums that looks like it might end up being official. It's done by NeoLojik and is based on the work by Superkid. All reactions to it so far are good and it's like they've been approved by the Cyanogen Team. you can visit the thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1240177

I like it because it's plain and fast. If I need extra pizzazz, I can add it on top.

Still finding my way around.

Wow is the xperia x10 that bad?
I was planing to swap my iPhone 3g with an x10
cos my major prob with my iPhone is battery life.
pls guys Any advice will be welcomed tanks
Re: Android, Anyone? by 4llerbuntu(m): 10:01am On Sep 10, 2011
dont.

well if ur ish is battery life, unless ur iphone is faulty, it will have like 3 times x10 battery life.

other than that, there is'nt any other reason really. the fones major and only ish is poor battery.

then again, i hope u are not shy to root and do stuff, cuz thats really the way to enjoy the fone o
