Oga Prince the Andriod does the 3G Hotspot Thingy by default! No need for 3rd Party apps. tongue. The Iphone is still a Wicked Device anytime any-day though.

Nope. Some Android ROMS on some android phones. grin

The iPhone still gets the best apps first. And the best accessories too grin

Andriod 2.2 (Froyo) does it on all devices!. As for the best apps being on the iphone i can't deny that (being an iphone guy as well). If only Oga Jobs can be more open minded with the device(and i'm not talking about jail-breaking here).

You re-inforce my point. How many Android phones are running legit versions of FroYo now? What happens to the HTC hero, Dream, Magic? What of the Xperia X10 (still struggling to get 2.1). What of the Dell Streak?

Of course, rooting and installing one of the Cyanogen mods will fix that, but it'll then no longer be a case of 'built in by default'.

Haba! Enough with this Super AMOLED screen jo. Even iPhone 4 users with a better screen no dey make this kain noise.

How you go compare HD screen on LCD Tv to phone screen? Hyperbole, much?
Re: Android, Anyone? by otumfour(m): 4:32pm On Nov 22, 2010
what u saying mahn?, U can't compare tht retina display thingy of Iphone 4's to the Super Amoled screen of the Samsung Galaxy S's (where black is black mind u) abeg, besides wit my SGS I just transfer movies directly from my laptop to the phone- no need converting movies, so u get ur movies crystal clear in HD + its 4inches wink

Can you please STOP calling the Galaxy S screen 'HD'? The resolution is only 800 x 480. Since when did that become HD?
If 800 x 480 resolution in the SGS is HD, what does that make the iPhone 4 with a far superior resolution of 960 x 640? Black level advantages of the S-AmOLED are countered by the far greater brightness of the iPhone 4's screen.
Plus, there's the small matter of the iPhone 4's screen having the highest pixel density of any mobile screen in the market.

Good for you that you can transfer movies to your phone without conversion. I'd much rather convert my videos AND get to have all the latest games and apps months before they come to the Android platform.

Check out these screenshots from the iPhone 4. When are you gonna get these games on your Galaxy S?

The update has been available through kies for about a week+ now. I always start the process but my internet connection
always misbehaves somewhere in the middle and i'll have to start again.

You need to update your kies software first if it tells you the froyo isn't available.

for some strange reason, am juz scared to update mine, though I'v updated my kies software so many times and think its up to date
A dude from the Samsung outlet in Ghana, where I bought mine, says I should wait till the 2nd week in December for the froyo update

@ maximip, heard of any successful update in Naija so far?
