Re: Android, Anyone? by otumfour(m): 4:29pm On Nov 29, 2010 |
texazzpete: this shud tell u how powerful this phone is even @ 2.1, they had it running on internet against the HTC EVO and this phone wuz killing the EVO wit speed like no 1's business, SGS baby |
Re: Android, Anyone? by otumfour(m): 4:32pm On Nov 29, 2010 |
and we all know the EVO is 4g and is already running on froyo |
Re: Android, Anyone? by texazzpete(m): 5:50pm On Nov 29, 2010 |
otumfour: No way in hell was the SGS faster than the Evo 4G in browsing speed. Apart from the vastly improved speeds of 4G against 3G HSDPA, FroYo gives a natural performance advantage in the Android browser over 2.1. |

@all is there any apps to download video from YOUTUBE? Android ROcks |
Re: Android, Anyone? by texazzpete(m): 9:13pm On Nov 30, 2010 |
damuseron: I'll upload a pic tommorrow. It's in reasonably good condition. Running on Android 1.6, but if you can root it, you'll be able to go FroYo. otumfour: I'm confused about one thing. You've been talking about how Android is really 'open' and that you get all the freedom you need on the platform. Yet you've been running an outdated version of the OS for a while, and you need to actually tinker with the device to move it to FroYo at the moment. That's irony |
Re: Android, Anyone? by twinskenny(m): 11:20am On Dec 01, 2010 |

twinskenny: Will try and get u 1, but tht ain't gone be now cuz tht baby is a hawt cake right abt now, will still try, in the mean time am still selling my iphone 4, only left wit 1 for now, , see pictures below @texazzpete, am in GH. right abt now and even Australia got their official 2.2 upgrade some few days ago, thus the reason am taking it eaaaaazzzy to upgrade, don wanna spoil this pretty baby(SGS) of mine u digg, btw, thts my Iphone 4, interested? lemme know, Abt the 2.2 and the 2.1, they ain' much difference except for the speed so don worry bruh, I got time |
Re: Android, Anyone? by texazzpete(m): 6:27pm On Dec 01, 2010 |
otumfour: You need to do your homework. There's a lot of added value in the move from 2.1 to 2.2. Let me trade you a brand new Galaxy S for an iPhone 4. Deal? twinskenny: Saw one in Computer village for 59K used. |
Re: Android, Anyone? by Maximip(m): 9:49pm On Dec 01, 2010 |
otumfour: Difference I've notice so far on the SGS - It's faster - UI Improvements - Mobile AP now supports up to 5 PCs/Devices - Disabling data services now very handy - Voice activation for everything. Making calls, browsing, searching, maps, etc - Take snapshots without the need for any app |

Maximip: dude, u got ma blood pumping , can't wait to upgrade, am gonna wait for another week tho, but thanx a million for this update Maximip:u really enjoying my man, am loving this phone more and more everyday lol texazzpete: interesting deal, but the Iphone is much more expensive than the Galaxy S(for wht reason, I juz can't tell till now ) so I guess am following the crowd, tho I had it a bit cheaper, if u really want it, am gonna sell it to u @ just 1,100 Cedis, don' know how much tht is in Naira, btw its a 16gig-unlocked, I tried posting some pix, seems they too big, will keep on trying tho PS: I have a feeling Apple will be coming out wit a new Iphone soon, cuz everybody is into big screens these days and tht's another area this Iphone disappointed me in, just 1,100 Gh.Cedis |
Re: Android, Anyone? by texazzpete(m): 7:10pm On Dec 02, 2010 |
otumfour: 1. iPhones are released on a yearly cycle. Expect a new one around june next year 2. Apple usually sets the pace, not the other way round. If everyone was into big screens, why is the iPhone by far the highest selling smartphone in the world? |
