Ibori's Wife Sentenced To 5 Years In Prison by blacksta(m): 5:46pm On Nov 22, 2010
Theresa Ibori, the former First Lady of Delta State, is going to prison for five years.

The London jury in her Southwark Crown Court trial returned their verdict today. James Ibori's United Kingdom lawyer, Mr. Bhadresh Gohil, who was on trial with Theresa, has been remanded in police custody, awaiting sentencing.

In a previous trial, the court had also sent to prison Ibori's sister, Christine Ibori-Ibie; and  his mistress, Udoamaka Okoronkwo-Onuigbo

Thank God for these oyinbos who are helping to fight corruption for Nigeria. Our EFCC and the courts are just toying with justice. Oyinbo, please endeavour to give Ibori double ration of punishment.

You guys are sooooooooooooooo naiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiive.

Oya, ask yourself, which is the top destination for stolen Nigerian money in the last 150 years?

That's right.

Britain.

Britain holds in its banks TRILLIONS OF DOLLARS OF STOLEN NIGERIAN MONEY, both from the colonial and post-colonial era.

The stolen money is NOT sitting in Nigeria. It is sitting in London.

And I mean TRILLIONS of dollars in today's currency, if you count from 1897 to 2010.

Every so often, the British banks and their partners in Switzerland use the combined money to play kalo kalo on the financial markets, making unimaginable fortunes.

And then some token biatch gets a ''5 year'' sentence, out of which she'll likely serve just two years ''on good behaviour'', and  we PRAISE THE BRITISH, while they get to keep our trillions with barely a whimper from us.

Amazing.

Talk about advanced 4-1-9.

I think the British should just take over this country for like 5years and when the level of sanity is attained they can handover back.

Will you ask them to come down with our TRILLIONS that sit in their banks, or do they get to keep that?

No No No. This judgement is not fair. Is the total sum involved more than Mrs Ibru's own? And Cecilia was sentenced for 18 Minutes!

good news

Actually what yr saying is not true. Amounts retrieved on bank accounts which are perceived to have been obtained via illegals means are forfeited to the either the rightfull owner in the event it was stolen or seized by the government( in this case UK), so not the banks. I know this, im a director in a international bank. Note that Nigeria could have done the same (ie seize the assets, as in the case of Ibru, though she got 6 months- crimes pays i guess). The point most are making is the lack of justice being carried out in Nigeria, whereas in this case it seems to have been done.

Government should only be a vehicle that will take us to the destination, if the vehicle develops a fault we should change it for a better one,

What is so funny, is that our current president sees it fit to endorse and back a known election cheat /fraudstar who was named in this same trial. We have the Likes of Uduaghan, Odili (who got an injunction so he cannot be tried), Atiku, IBB to name but a few, running around freely, yet we have the balls to question the British legal system and the british people, some are even suggesting that the penalty is light.

Go and challenge your president who is encouraging election cheats, fruadstar, corrupt politician and thieves.
