The agitations by the college of Education staff Union (COEASU) of the Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education (AOCOED) Ijanikin and other sister unions of the premier institution are far from being over as the unions comprising of COEASU, NASU, NACEATON and SSUCOEN, in a recent communique gave deadlines of 30th Dec. 2019 and January 6th 2020 to the AOCOED management to offset outstanding debts owed them. The communique jointly signed by the unions stated that the agitation and deadlines were issued in the interest of industrial harmony, which will translate into a serene environment for learning. Some of these demands include: Eleven (11)months arrears based on the hazard and transport allowances to be paid to all staff covering January 2019 :that the arrears being demanded for take effect from January 2013.
According to the communique, these decisions were reached by the unions out of great understanding by trading off totally three years (Jan. 2010-2012 Dec) This communique was reached at the joint meeting of the four (4)unions held on Monday 30th, 2019 (yesterday). Princess reporting.
