gjugcvbnu:It was once stated on on the embassy website That 2:1 fall under catA(I saw that when I was reading through part 7 of this thread).. but I rechecked the site yesterday, the reasons stated is quite different You can check here https://nigeria.diplo.de/ng-en/service/visa/student-research-and-language-course-visa/1015536 Thou I don’t understand what they meant by grade of 1. Gentleman001: You can apply for different courses in the same school and/or different courses in different schools. Your 70 EUR is for one school per course application. Any other applications will be charged 30 EUR per application. E.g application for course XYZ at University of Cologne fee is 70 EUR handling fee. Additional application for course XXY at University of Cologne will be charged 30 EUR totalling 100 EUR. Application to ABC department, University of Bremen will also be charged 30 EUR. ETC... 1 Like |

bigeliot4real:Did they say they are denying us because of graduation results? many Nigerians are actually doing great here... Of course, many are struggling too.. German education can be challenging especially for those in difficult courses. The suicide rate is also climbing... in all, some are also doing great! It is not the embassy's job to determine who is doing well or not but the schools issuing these admissions. Maybe some Nigerians had messssed up in a particular school but still, I believe this visa issue started a long time ago as the German option became more popular and other countries like the US became more difficult, in addition to the economic situation in Nigeria. You guys should be creative and find a way around it, probably consult with the old heads on this thread and find a way around it. 1 Like |

Gentleman001: Each application is treated differently, the first application is 70euro everyother is 35euro. I don't know if u can apply for 2 different courses in one school. I said it before, I'm saying again, if u have any issue, mail the school or uni assist and ask any question u might have b4 application process begins. They are always ready to answer, response might not come under 1hr but it will come. Get concrete information because every sch is different with requirements. 1 Like |

Re: General-german-student-visa-enquiries Part 8 by MrAAA2: 11:41pm On Apr 07, 2021 |
Gentleman001: Winter Semester Application should be April or May - June 15th for most schools and admission status notification is Aug-Sept. While Summer Semester usually closes in Jan. Not sure exactly when it starts, maybe November or December. 1 Like |

Patriots, I just had a chat with my sis in Germany. She said two people are on their way to Germany. I asked what category, she said Category B then I asked when they booked. She said they booked an appointment in October and put the start date in January. They had letters of presence. They got their visa recently. It seems those that are getting appointment dates CAT B are not on nairaland, or they are not just saying anything. Legit |

OdogwuEkeke: at some point it was stated that with Letter of Presence from university in Germany that one can get appointment. I don't know if it still works tho. but is only for courses that cant be taken solely online |

TOMSY: The number of staffs may be disproportionate to the number of applications and emails received. Other possible reasons would be TOO MANY enquiries made whereas the same information has been clearly stated on the website. Other reasons might be other than these. |

OdogwuEkeke:No need for all these false hope, I had letter of presence too, which I mailed embassy severally, even my HOD , tagged me and mailed thesame letter to several emails of the embassy , Misleading people with these fake stories is not fair, The earlier we accept the truth and work towards it , the better for us . Any category B that got visa , obviously didn't go through the right channel . That is why most of them do not give testimony, so that people won't start asking them suspicious questions. Any body that register for category B, as at now, Is almost not very smart or intelligent. You have yourself to blame if you get rejection letter by October. You were asked to comment and make post on the Internet as graduates to air your issues to the embassy, hopefully things get better. Everybody relaxed with hope you get appointment by October. Its well. 1 Like |

Nzealibaba: You have said it all, nothing much to add.. If you are category B. Just go find another option or route , don't even near that registration portal to avoid wasting your data. This is nigeria, the fact it is german embassy doesn't make it an exception. Alot of category B got appointment, and we will never hear it , because they didn't go through the right path, Anybody that is using them as hope, you are on your own. Since we want to do it per head, no more common voice , by October make we know those e go favor. If we continue to go to other countries for interview, very soon the world will know, and ban us completely. No go pass, spoil road for others, e no good. 1 Like |

Emman2903: I will advise those that can afford it to leave Nigeria to any other country, Gambia, Zambia, wherever speaks English and can travel to with Nigeria's passport, manage there, get residence permit and apply. For those that can afford other non-African countries, carry on. 1 Like |

Emman2903: You are very wrong and please don't project your insecurity on others. What is so wrong with Nigerians? Why would they ban us? Did we do anything wrong? Please be careful what you say on this platform. That's why people don't come here anymore to give solutions. A brother here came out to tell us how easy it was to move from Ukraine and you are here talking about banning. This is the last time I will ever have a say on this topic. If you want to keep on tagging authorities in Nigeria continue but I assure you that will not solve anything. Move to smaller European countries (please move legally) a lot of them are cheap I'll advice to use study visa. Don't discourage people from doing if you don't want to. Please and please stop wasting your time if study is actually your priority for going to Germany. Time is running out. A word is enough for the wise. 3 Likes |

Having gone through some of the latest comments gives cause for concern. I got date without giving anybody a dime. I didn't solicit any assistance to be given date. I booked trice before I got date. My last booking was on 1st Feb. 2021 before I got Appointment date a week later. I used June as resumption date. After my re booking on 1st Feb. 2021, I sent mail to the embassy stating I have admission letter & I have a funded blocked account. I attached the PDF files, I requested to be given date. By the grace of God it came 5days after the mail I sent. On the day of interview, just two of us came. Me & one other lady. Others came for Goethe exams at the embassy becoz I had Goethe study centre was burnt down during endsars protest. The other persons came for Family reunion, Employment Visa. Some persons for Long term visa didn't come becoz I heard Paulinus saying so. I was Cat. B. Some comments here will weaken people resolve & zeal about German waka. Its not an easy walk. It's a tough journey but nothing is impossible. My Friend Franklin Ebuka is my destiny helper. He is in German schooling at OTH Weiden. He stood by me & put me through till victory was achieved. Nairaland is great & has all the info to help actualize your dream. Make out time to check other parts of this thread. You will find very useful informations. It's worth it, pls go through previous parts. I will update U all as it progresses. 5 Likes |

Embassy email address: info@lago.diplo.de Interview Questions. 1. Name of my school. 2. Location of my school. 3. Course of study. 4. Why did I choose the course. 5. What I know about Germany. 6. Countries that border Germany. 7. When did the first World War happen. 8. When was Berlin Wall erected. 9. Why did I choose to study in Germany. I was given an exams on ICT. Which she marked immediately. What I realised was the answer U give to any question leads to the next. I advice anybody going to prepare well. Some questions can throw U off balance. Also write a good Motivation letter or Statement of Purpose. Because after the interview your interview transcript & documents along side your motivation letter will be sent to State/District your school is located. The docx will be evaluated by the relevant bodies concerned before decision is taken. 2 Likes |

I am going for BSc. My first booking was in Jan. 01, after 2week I re-booked & then cancelled again to re-book in Feb. 01 after my friend suggested I use May ending or June as resumption date. I guess the mail I sent played a part too. If U have funded, have your admission letter & have booked then U can write the embassy. 2 Likes 1 Share |
