OdogwuEkeke: You know very well you are a staff, you and nellystrong7 . But you people think you are doing your job, At the detriment of the youths of your country. Just to make sure they don't protest, you guys started Pasting fake testimony, giving them false hope so at the end you tell them it have been cancelled. Nobody is planning any protest against anybody. We want the embassy to tell category b to stop applying instead of wasting their time. Indians were the first country that did " education is not tourism " protest and today things are better for them. But ours is different. Selfish interest everywhere. You think you are doing your job, you are simply sell outs

Emman2903: You have valid points, but you’re not stating it clearly. I agree with your point that German Embassy to clearly state on their website that Category B should not apply like they did in Ghana. With false hope, you waste people time. It’s better to even reject the visa, then young scholars can find alternatives instead dashing false hope on something that will never happen. I know a lot people been waiting for 2years. To be frank, false hope is really unfair. |

pseudonomer: I stand to be corrected though.... One of my coursemate is from Ghana and applied under cat B. He has been in Germany since December last year. Infact wen we spoke and I told him what the situation is like here in Nigeria, he was shocked. Except if the clause "catB should not apply was just recently added to Ghanaian website" like u said, I wouldn't know. In his own case, during his visa processing after interview, the embassy called his office boss to confirm his recommendation letter, his boss said he doesn't know him. The embassy reached out to him and asked him to submit a police report. He did and still got the visa. It's strange but we have to admit, things are different here. But it's well |

NwadiNK: If only the students can unite, and question the actions of the consulate as graduates, We are not illiterates or hoodlums or street thugs, We protest as learned people without insult or disregard to the consulate, Let them see reason with us and address their current booking systems,. Countries unite for common good, indians did it, We are 24 in my class , indians are 15, I am the only Nigerian, 2 are germans the rest are from America, I am the only one ,that is not in class.. But some staffs here on nairaland feel they are doing their job, by preventing any form of protest , Posting fake news , misinforming students, posting fake testimonies , Education is not tourism was done worldwide , indians did it and it worked for them, Nigerians did it too, But their forum was on nairaland, Alot of people came to the forum, some were posting rubbish, the rest were discouraging them, Misleading them with fake informations so that it won't work. At the end it still did not work.. And we are still were we are , any form of protest will be disorganised and 2yrs from now, Nigerian category B , will still be telling same story.. Its not fair !!!!!! 5 Likes |

NwadiNK: The 8 weeks has been constant for a long time now, like the last time I checked was more than 4 weeks ago I think, but the 8 weeks doesn’t change. German Embassy has the same stuffs about most third-world countries, or let me say African countries. 1 Like

Emman2903: We are Coward in this country, self centred people, if things go fine for use,we don't care about our neighbour , we need to unite, not just type, let form a group, let know the number of people interested in this movement, we have every right to ask what is happening, we are not going there for tourist or visit,it so painful and frustrating, in my department we are two African, one from Kenya and one from Nigeria, when the embassy in Kenya was delaying the other student visa she contacted my school, my school wrote to the embassy and immediately they attended to her,I did same but embassy here didn't reply the mail..the only way they can listen to us is to keep posting on social media until the right thing is done 2 Likes |

Ftomilola: Lets keep Sentiments apart, Ftomilola and pseudonomer i apologies for how I reacted to your comments. Pseudonomer you are a staff, you have been here before us , was expecting some form of guide from you guys. Rather its Misleading info, You guys entertain students every april and September complaining how their long plans of studies , Writing applications, Learning German language , moving from post office to post office, nights of unending applications searching for schools to apply , paying fees both to school and uniassist, Walking around calling family for blocked account funds , At the end this embassy knowing fully well that they won't grant these students interview not even visa , Wont tell them on time to stop applying, they keep the information till the dying minute , Informing students resuming April on March, and students resuming October on sept that there is no space for them. If only you can put yourself in our shoes, From semester to semester, some have been here for upto 2yrs .. All you people do is to post fake testimonies and appointments, to convince them that cat B, are getting appointment... I stop here... I apologise for any harsh words I might have used |

Good day wonderful scholars in the house. Please i would like to have an answer to this query of mine. I want to apply for the DAAD scholarship but i saw a requirement that one must have at least 2years post graduation experience. I graduated in January 2020 as stated in my certificate and currently employed in one of the public universities. Do you think that i should still apply? are they really strict regarding their 2year post graduation job requirement?. Thanks for your warmth responses. |

Re: General-german-student-visa-enquiries Part 8 by Somatohadidas1: 3:19pm On Apr 11, 2021 |
suleyoung: I'd advise you to go ahead with your application as all new DAAD programs (Scholarships), are going to start in 2022 (they already selected people for 2021). Also, many of their deadlines are towards the end of this year. Also, for others who are still waiting for an appointment, I hope you all get them. While still waiting for appointments, you can also look at DAAD scholarships and apply. Furthermore, some schools do have funding for students too, I could recall someone here got in here through the route. Wishing you all the best. |

Emman2903: Whatever you mean by staff, I am not a staff. I don’t understand how I’ve been giving out misleading information. That aside, you have a very good valid point. Make your point formal, write to the German Embassy, or make a thread on Twitter and tag all whom may be of concern, write an open letter here on Nairaland, or write to DW. Make sure you’re not rude in your writing and be very concise. 3 Likes |

Go to the other german thread 'Nigerian Students In Germany..how Do You Survive?? and ask them if they know of any Nigerian in CAT B that just got to Germany recently. Their response will give you another perspective on this whole thing. Backdoor or not, some people dey move. |

Goodevening guyz, sorry I couldn't read & reply the messages some people sent to me bcoz I am not familarized with this platform. It says I can't read the message because I am not connected. How do I get connected on nairaland? I wish to set the record straight here & now. What would be my gain to come here & lie about my VISA been approved? What will be my gain to give false testimony & hope? To doubt me is one thing but to come here & brand me liar & an agent of the embassy is annoying & sickening. This is my email address nellystrong007@gmail.com I started German waka since 2019 & it was tough & difficult but I didn't give up till GOD answered my prayer this year. It got to a stage I almost gave up hope but my friend Ebuka Franklin in German gave me a thousand & one reason not to succumb. He stood by me encouraging & assisting me in every step I took. That U have not been called doesn't mean that other people's testimony are false. Emman2903 & Co. Pls desist from your negative utterances, It will do U no good. Respect people's opinion. It will shock U guys that some individuals don't honour AD. On my own date we were only two. Others didn't come. Reasons best known to them. 2days after I re-booked in Feb. 2021, I sent a mail to the embassy stating that I have been offered admission & have funded BA requesting AD. I got a reply after 6days with AD. Pls don't be discouraged becoz there is light @the end of the tunnel. I didn't pay a dime to anyone to falicitate my AD or AM. Its courtesy of divine providence. GOD is forever faithful. NB: Pls don't mind my grammar. If U have further questions or enquiry feel free mail me. I am available & will gladly help. Thanks guys, do have a blissful evening. 1 Like

For real guys, don't y'all think it's about time we all united and start asking the right questions. I can bet that those planning on going to intermediate countries to connect to Germany are gonna soon be having a hard time and then, it'll be even worse because then, they'll see us as people who try to always beat the system the wrong way. We took the stress of applying, got admitted and are now asked by our Universities to come to their country to study because we beat the competition for a place for Christ's sake. If you doubt, stylishly ask your professors how many people competed for the Masters place you now have in these Universities. For those that are scared, I think the oppressive conditions we're used to here in Nigeria has caused us to see ourselves as people without any sort of rights or a voice. We're not desperate migrants who are completely at their mercy. We're students and we ought to start acting accordingly. You shouldn't know when your dignity is being trampled upon. That's what the Indians understand better than we do. Section 16 of the German resident act validates our complaint of them depriving us of our places and since we have legal backing, I'm sure our complaints will be heeded if our voices are louder. Our schools are aware of this and that's why there's even a clause for those who just have to be in the country even when Coronavirus was raging. What we're asking for is transparency and reasonable wait time for visa interviews and I think it is a valid request on every ground. The Indians made these requests and had it granted to them, so why can't we? For those interested in making their voices heard, we have to make that protest happen one way or the other. If not for anything, for posterity sake. 2 Likes |

Please for the ones speaking up against the treatment of the embassy on students, I encourage you all to continue,. For the rest diverting the conversation, continue . This was exactly how the "education is not tourism ", was disorganised in nigeria., The same set of people have come again talking rubbish... It can never change the motive of the conversation ,, The treatment of the embassy on Nigerians student is highly unprofessional, Germany have made several cases of deporting third world countries , Thats their country, and their choice ... But denying category B interview , 5 consecutive times , And informing them only when school has resumed is totally wrong... And some people are here, diverting the conversation... Please brothers and sisters , we need to unite , voice out our disagreement with the embassy, Then plan on how we would table our matter... One person does not represent Nigerian students, we have to speak up in unity.... Don't get carried away or discouraged by the ones diverting the conversation, always skip their comments , Lets do this for posterity, others are coming after us.. If people before us have done it.. We would all have gotten visa by now .. Thanks 1 Like |

It cannot be clearer than this. @Emman2903 I don't know why you are sending emails to everyone. What are you hoping to achieve? Accusing people that have been on this journey before you graduated from Uni is just below the belt. Again, I will say it. CAT B dey get dates, it's not just as much plus, not everyone going to Germany is on Nairaland. nellystrong7: |
