That was how he wrecked Eboue's career! Mr Meddle! Why not focus on making him a better defensive midfielder! Claude Makalele did not score up to 5 goals in his career but he is still revered worldwide. His primary constituency is shielding our back 4! We have more than enough attacking options

Why do we complain?

Because Arsenal fans can accept a team playing their heart out and being fully committed to the cause and not giving it all the talk before games and doing the complete opposite!!!

We can accept a Manager trying out new formations and tactics to win games, we can accept a Manager who tries to buy good players for positions badly needed, but we can't accept silly excuses for all of the above like we stupid!!

The draw was expected IMO, and it'll give the press something to talk about.

I haven't read through the comments, so I don't know what others have said but my main regret is we've not been given Bayern to ostensibly shut up DK permanently.

If there is sadness, it is unwarranted - going out now or later on (except in the finals) means the same thing to me. If Barca beat us, then we get a chance to focus on other challenges, if we win, we may get a few headlines, but we may still not win the trophy.

In the final analysis right now, I'm not interested in matches in two months, I want three points tomorrow.

Song going forward doesnt take anything from his game, AW is preparing for life after FAB4 and I doubt thats a bad thing to do . . .that explains why Wilshere is seen to have come of age, not because of his vision alone, but the swap in rols has added some variety and unpredictability to the team . . .

Thats not really due to gnashing of teeth but more with people like DK and Sauron having a wankfest over what they assume Messi and co will do to us, I don't think DK needs any viagra from now till after the match.

^^ Dunno why there's all the complaining. . .  .apart from eldee who just wants Arsenal to stay later in the competition first and foremost, it's almost as if failing to meet Barca would've won Arsenal the CL.

People are just plain unrealistic - maybe I've simply mellowed, but I am no longer interested in going out in the quarters/semis, even if it was to aliens from Mars who play football and have wings.

Win the CL, reach the final or bust. if not, go out earlier, get over it and focus on the other competitions. Even if we're out of the other competitions, the fewer excuses AW will have.

Being drawn against the catalan giants isnt a big deal to me. What scares me in fact is we go into the tie 'underequipped'. FORTUNATELY, we have been tied against a team that no 'average' team can possibly knock out in two legs. That is to say even if we beat barca in the first game,that'll only encourage them to 'maul' us at Camp Nou. Except of course we stregthen up. Messi isnt barca's only star. These guys have Villa,pedro,Xavi,Ini and even bojan. Thats a freekin killer band. We must 'upgrade' our team to KO these guys. I believe we can do it,but we need more ammunition. I read on the BBC that wenger is lookin into Dzeko and I think thats PERFECT. And considering that Wolfburg have also 'picked' one of our players,the mouth-waterin news is pro'ly true.
We must match barca to knock them out. As it is,we are no match for them. But if we can get Dzeko,then we can improve in goalscoring and I think thats how we can knock them out. There attack is their strength,can be nearly if not-as strong as they are attackwise. This is a test for wenger. Will he admit to needing to buy to knock barca out (and eventually buy)or will he pretend to believe that our present squad can eliminate a barca?
