A student(name unknown)of the department of Dramatic Arts, Obafemi Awolowo University has been confirmed dead today Monday 10th of February 2020. She was involved in a fatal road accident yesterday 9th of February, 2020 at Eripa, Boluwaduro Local Government Area of Osun state where not less than 10 people were confirmed dead at the spot.

It was gathered that the victims were returning from the annual pilgrimage to Oke-Maria in Otan-Ayegbaju in a bus belonging to St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Lagere, Ile-Ife. The OAU undergraduate, name and level unknown at the time of filing this report, was among those that sustained brutal injuries in the accident and were transferred to LUTH, Osogbo for medical treatment but she was confirmed dead this morning by her friend.

It is worthy of note that she would be the third student OAU would lose to the cold and cruel hands of death this year. We commiserate with her parents and relatives and we pray God will grant them the fortitude to bear the loss.
