I have a fiance whom I have groomed into a woman and planning on getting married this year. I also have a land with an approved building plan in PH and a small business plan.

However, am having second thoughts, planing on relocating abroad. Nigeria is in shambles, war fit start anytime, you fit even die anytime, no security or Healthcare, only churches... A wife would mean more responsibility amid these crisis...


With a financial base of N4m and monthly income of 250k what would you advice? Make I travel abi stay here marry and hope for the best...??

Op, travelling seems to be the better option, but the question is: what do you intend doing abroad, and with what type of visa, that will enable you to work?

If you can sort those issues out, then by all means...travel out!

Having said that, 250k isn't bad monthly, it's just the uncertainty of the country.

- to come back where?

ask yourself these above question, and answer them TRUTHFULLY, then you can make up your mind....but remember, now you have a great situation in Nigeria, something that you would greatly miss when you return from your eldorado while being BROKE, BEATEN amd JOBLESS.

Listen, I am advising from experience. Leave the travelling abroad thing, na stuggle. I don't want to write much. Just use that 4m, remove 1m buy three fairly used Keke, give out on hire purchase as they start bringing income, use the profit to be expanding your business, with time get a bus, de increase your financial capital. Marriage is important but still shift it by a year. Marry her after a year. Not now. Invest WISELY and grow your finance.

Anyone outside Lagos n Abuja, getting 250k / month is a VERY BIG GUY IN TODAY'S NAIJA.

I think I'm in the same shoes as you, but I want to leave. I've given up on Nigeria.

Traveling is a gamble. But as a single guy if you trust in yourself and keep your head down you will make it. Most of all your chances of surviving there is higher if you’re smart

Nothing bad, congrat on your marriage. You go still make money though I am angry that u didnt take my advise. INVEST AND EXPAND your finances first, its always better. Women are very unreasonable people generally but still the greatest gift to men as we are incomplete without them. Now she will want to waste your money on frivolities : clothes, cars, jewelries, expensive schools for children, her family etc (not that shes wicked, they are ALL LIKE THAT). Knowing all these, it is always better to expand finance by having a business by the side.
