You'd appreciate the fact that you're not in Nigeria. Nigerians have a certain mentality that typifies most of the ghettos and average places. You simply can't miss the difference.

However, that roads are bad, no electricity etc... no be everybody dey experience am for naija o!
If you live in the better parts of certain cities in Nigeria, the only major difference will be the foreign faces and weather.

What's tha business?

Guy, na lie!

General standard of living, nko?
Basic amenties nko?
Job opportunities, nko?
Healthcare...
Good road network...
Security...and so on!

Don't even go there...

Cold, I swear guys nothing can prepare you for how cold the UK is. Then I was astounded by the constant bright lights that never went out, clean environment, sane drivers and the smell of fast food and cigarettes in the air. Like everything just works you know.

The TV there was also better than at home, all the stations were in season 3 while Nigeria was in season 1.

White people can look so strange up close, even today I tend to stare and get anxious around white people like I'm in danger or something. But they are friendly, sometimes too friendly.

I was also glad that most people could finally understand me when I talk. grin

The plane ride was also fun, the part I always look forward to when travelling. cheesy

It was exciting really. Before I boarded, some immigration officers wanted to play smart, thank God, I had all my docs with me. After entering the plane, I couldn't locate my seat, lol. I later did sha. When I arrived at my destination (a country in Europe), I was flabbergasted by the high number of white people around me. Shuo, no be small thing oh. The place was cold, beautiful and colorful all at the same time. It was like a dream. Totally different from Naija. But now I don't notice the difference anymore.

You travelled to Europe and was “flabbergasted by the high number of white people around” you? Seriously? We’re you expecting to be surrounded by Asians, Indians or Latinos? Are you being sarcastic?

The first thing you will experience and feel when you leave Nigeria and land in any European, American, or developed Asian country is a sudden peace of mind, calmness and shock of the orderliness, purity of air/water (blue), and cleanliness of the environment and of course the beauty of the infrastructure around......I didn't experience cold because I traveled during summer, but later when the winter came, I almost lost my life because I am a warm-blooded human, I don't fancy cold much......the cold was out of this world......I bled from the nose for 4 nights straight, it was like one village demon was using ice block to suck on my nose to empty my nostril, and I was like, so finally my village people followed me here shocked shocked

The way white people, even most Asian countries developed and organised their countries; some places are tiled like inside President Buhari's bedroom, I mean street oh, and you will be wondering why black African leaders cannot pave our roads with ordinary korota or even cemented German floor, honestly it hurts to be born a black African, nature no try at all, something is definitely wrong with the black race angry angry

People always asked me if I'm foreign because of the way I spoke as a child. I used to watch sky TV at that time and they showed mostly British shows so that's how I learned English. Sorry I no fit speak pidgin. grin

Just shut up already, ode!! angry angry

I doubt you have left Nigeria to Europe, America, Australia, Asia or even ordinary Dubai/Qatar because if you have, you won't be spilling this crap!

Personal comfort or individual comfort can never be compared to national or communal comfort and progress!

That you can afford one stupid generator or you can afford to live in one estate where you have estate generator and maybe enjoy a bit serenity can never be compared to national orderliness, comfort and progress that you can feel almost everywhere you go, and everyone (rich or poor) is enjoying the same comfort and life amenities without sweating or killing or stealing or looting!!

Nigeria and West Africa are doomed!!!

Travel and see. Nigeria is the hell fire being talked about in the holy books if you don't know, wake up!!! angry angry

how can a whole country be tiled?

That was exactly why I shed tears when compared to Naija.

God should make heaven free for all Nigerians no matter the level of our sins. We are already in hell, Nigeria, so why experience another hell again? That is pure wickedness if any Nigerian goes to hell the second time.
