A federal high court sitting in Uyo has adjourned hearing on a case brought before it on a plan direct allocation of revenue to local government council by the federal government.
The 31 local government council of Akwa Ibom state and the attorney general of the state are in court to challenge the legality of the plan action.

Should local governments or senatorial districts have autonomy? There's strong debate . most capitals don't even contribute much. this should not have been taken to court or even brought up. Uyo stands to lose.

Political lawyers used as stooges. U dnt want local govt to have autonomy bt you want state govt to have autonomy? We are talking about autonomy in statutory allocation from the federal govt. and this has nothing to do with what the L.G's has as it's natural resources.
