The Kano State Government has announced the sacking of the Emir of Kano, Muhammad Sanusi II and has announced the appointment of Aminu Bayero as the new Emir of Kano

Mr Bayero, who is the son of late Emir Ado Bayero, was until his appointment the emir of Bichi, one of the controversial new emirates created by Governor Abdullahi Ganduje.

The information was made public by the Director-General, Media and Communications, Kano State Government, Salihu Yakasai on Monday on his official Twitter handle, @Dawisu.
