But talking from the higher percentages and how life is, and seeing the list of so many successful stories of how some school drop out tends to do better in life, you have to agree with me that in life 3rd class students do better than 1st class graduates, but the reason is what is still scratching me to get!!!!
What will be the reason according to your view, is it that they tends to strive harder due to the short level of understanding in school they found themselves? Does it mean school is not for everyone? Or is school scam?

1) First class or second class graduates kept looking for job or gets a job immediately after school while 3rd class students further their education due to their disappointments and then keeps getting better than their counterparts

2) First class students feels they have achieved a lot, whereas life is just starting when they decided to relax

3) Some 3rd class are late boomers, they are not dumb, they just don't realise themselves until later in life. Hence, when you fall flat, the only way you go is up.

4) 3rd class students know what it means to fail. 1st class students don't.

Just ask yourself how many 1st class students are billionaires or scholars today?

I have first class friends who are doing better, street smart and even made millions thru Bitcoins before graduating and are less than 30.

@op, where did you get this analysis from? You're funny. Most first class candidates I knew, are doing well. Although first, second, 3rd class or certificate of attendance does not guarantee success in life. You need to be determined and work hard to bring your dreams alive.

This guy, if you are still in school, i advise you put in the work and get the best grades possible.

Now to your post, the premise of your post is faulty and reeks of a bias called "Survivorship Bias". You see a lot of news about people who did not do well in school building multi-billion businesses but you never see the report on the thousands if not millions of people who did not do well in school and are not doing well in life. This observation tilts your thinking to where it is today, believing that people who struggle in school do better in life when bench-marked to those that excel in School.

Succeeding in life is a function of many variables, one of them is your level of education (maybe quality-i.e 1st, 2nd or third). The fact that you were able to complete a degree at the time set implies that you can be committed to something, the quality of the degree is a rough estimate of your level of discipline and commitment which signals to prospective employers that you can be trusted to do a job better than some classes of degree(reality? I cannot tell, HR guys can advice).

In the end, the level of your drive, determination, hard-work, luck, chance and grace would determine how far you would go in life.
But note that, if you carry the same attitude that resulted in a 3rd class in school to the real world, i am not too optimistic the results outside of school would be different from the results you finished with in school.

Get to work lad and stop disrespecting guys that put in the work and effort to finish top of their class.

Because 1st class students tend to be insular, specialised and obssessed with their chosen field. That is why they make 1st class. Money cannot be made by knowing only one thing; no matter how well that thing is known. One needs to understand a very wide range of things to make money. For example, even a world class surgeon will still need a better than average knowledge of management, accounting, tax, and procurement to be successful at running a personal hospital; and even if he decides to hire people to do that, he will still need additional knowledge of people, psychologies, interactions, human resource management etc. 3rd class graduates are usually more social, and more world-wise; so better at running business.

And contrary to popular opinion, it is not always the most intelligent who get 1st class. It is those with the ability to avoid all distractions.

Most are very comfortable as they are.
As long as they have roof over their head, take care of family matters, drive a decent car and have some amount in the bank for emergency and old age, they are good and contented.
