fairfora: We cannot shut our borders against our own citizens. The travel restrictions that was put in place yesterday doesn’t affect people with Nigerian passport. Most of the new cases that we’ve seen since yesterday are Nigerians who returned to the country. More Nigerians who lived in Coronavirus ravaged countries will still return to the country and the figures of infected people in Nigeria will increase. What we should be looking at right now is how to contain the spread of the virus and not wailing about shutting borders. |

TheFreeOne: Effect late decision. I believe there are more cases undetected who are passing the virus due to our slow pace in taking drastic decision. As long as our land boarders. are open, more cases will surface. Schools should be shut down with immediate effect. |

Theboss100: You are right in principle. However, showing symptoms will mean that the virus is spread faster in our dense population, and our already weak healthcare system will be overwhelmed by sheer numbers of people requiring intensive care which may lead to more fatalities. If many people are asymptomatic, although they can also spread the disease during this period, the fatality rate should be lower, as more people will recover quicker. I made this statement based on observations that the infected Nigerians living in Nigeria reported so far have all been asymptomatic i.e the one from the index italian case and the Ekiti driver of the American. All the sick ones are those that returned from COVID hotspots. Either way, looks like we're in some deep sh*t |

The people who refused to do the right thing at the right will be the ones to die first. The last time I checked, most of them belong to the age bracket of those who are most vulnerable? |

seunmsg: Mr. Oga, do you really understand what the people are saying? FG should shut the airports and borders as it stands now forget weather your Nigerian returning or not. Safety for those at home should be a Major priority. Do you know that if a thorough research is done on those where in same plane with the +ve victims you will know that the reported numbers is way lower. |

Coronavirus Pandemic, day 16. If anyone is still out there, I’m alive but struggling very hard. Food and smoke is running low . Down to 400 days worth. My hands are super sanitized and my butt is super clean. Down to 1500 rounds of ammo. Power is off and I’m missing human interactions. I fear dark days ahead. News is all bad . Blew through most Netflix series so I may have to rewatch some again. Basic survival is a definite challenge. I vow to persevere to the end, I am a survivor! Please if there’s life out there, communicate with me to help preserve my sanity. Yours faithfully SELF QUARANTINE |

seunlayi: I don't know what they were thinking when they refused to shut our doors to foreigners. May be they were still thinking it was a game or what? Now, only God knows the number of unreported/undetected cases we have in this Country. They were busy with their governance while the virus was being circulated. |

Sadteen: You left out the part where God destroyed the entire world with a flood and rebooted from just one family. Where do you get this come out and prove yourself thing? Why should he? Does he strike you as someone who requires validation? Did he ask people to build churches or did he tell them that he lives in churches? Just musing. |
