If Liverpool should be awarded the title,it would be unfair to the rest of the teams either.

Mathematically they haven't Won it.Then How do you decide the top four? Are we going to Maintain the current table?
What about the Relegation battle? Who goes down and who stays up? There are a lots of things to Consider.A team like Aston Villa that's currently in the relegation zone has an outstanding match to play which would bring them out of the zone if they win.

Then what happens in the Championship? Teams like West Bromwich Albion and Leeds United that has worked hard towards promotion,Do they get Automatic promotion or Still remain in the Championship if the season is Declared null and void?

The best Way is to complete the season whenever it is right before we talk of another season.Another problem is that some players Contract would expire on 30th June.Would Such players play beyond their contracts with their respective clubs especially when some of them are key players?

If they Season should be declared null and Void then there's nothing for Liverpool.
My friend, no one's saying Liverpool be handed the title with 9 games to go. The campaign is that, the league be finished, cos it will be unfair to Liverpool, Leeds and westbr0m plus it will lead to so many lawsuits.

Am a Chelsea. . But truthfully, it will be unjust.

They have waited many years
Nothing is unjust. Barca, Psg, Juve, Bayern are also potential league winners that could also be affected. It wasnt anyone's fault that Liverpool havent won it in 30yrs. If it is cancelled let them try again next season. We also have to consider teams in the relegation zone who still stand a chance. Life shouldn't be about just LIVERPOOL. Everyone is affected

I'm sure they will also be praying that the ongoing UEFA champions league got cancelled permanently since they are out already
abi na. Shey na una want make them cancel premier league? English FA can't do that unless Uefa cancels the champi0ns league. Lol, make we see who go win. After all, we are experts in champi0ns league and european affairs.

Enough of all this crap. The league is for 38 games not 29 games. Liverpool will be worthy winners when they win the points required to lift the league title.

Brighton & Hove Albion chief executive Paul Barber has said it would be "really unjust" if runaway Premier League leaders Liverpoolwere not awarded the title for 2019-20.

The English top flight has been suspended until April 4 becuase of the coronavirus outbreak, raising doubts over whether the season can be completed.

Barber told the BBC's Football Focus that ending the league as it stands would be unfair for teams at the top and bottom, but he is hopeful the season can be completed:

"Every league starts with an expectation of completing all 38 fixtures, as it is in the Premier League, and we want to be able to do that.

"Our intention must be to play the fixtures, but it's really hard to imagine putting on a football game in the Premier League in two or three weeks' time given the scenario we are in.

"If we were to freeze the league it would be incredibly unjust for Liverpool to not be awarded the title, because everybody in the game appreciates what a fantastic season they have had. Equally it would be unjust for teams to be relegated with nine or 10 games to go in the Premier League."

The Daily Telegraph has reported that Liverpool "are still likely to be crowned Premier League champions" even if the 2019-20 season is cancelled.

The Brighton chief also said it was "difficult to think about" the Premier League resuming on April 4 because a number of teams now have players in self-isolation.

Arsenal have announced the full first-team squad is in self-isolation after manager Mikel Arteta tested positive for the coronavirus, while Chelsea forward Callum Hudson-Odoi has also been diagnosed with the virus.

Leicester City, Everton and Bournemouth have also confirmed they are taking precautionary measures and have players in self-isolation.

The Premier League is due to hold an "emergency meeting" on Thursday with clubs to discuss plans for the rest of the season, according to Sky Sports.

You have to play 38 matches and come on top to win the league. Thats the rule

Nobody will award you a university degree if you didn't pass all the required courses. It doesn't matter if you are first class materials

simple. The transfer market doesn't open till seas0n has ended. Th0se playerz' c0ntract then ends as s0on as the seas0n is c0mplete and the transfer market is open. That should be the rule Uefa, the FAs should agree up0n.

The league is not yet over, anything can still happen

This is not the first time Liverpool have come close to clinching the title but somehow the lose it at the last minute

The league must be played to the very last game or to the point when it's clear no one could catch them before the title is handed over to them. Period!

But for now corona has taken over

Let's do away with emotions and sentiment and face the fact.

The best Liverpool and her supporters can do at this point is to pray and keep hope alive

Thank you!

You probably support Arsenal with your degree of bitterness, Following through your comments you talk like a loser grin

Liverpool only need 2 wins to be crowned champions plus the point margin between Liverpool and the 2nd place team is too WIDE for any possible upset.

So, if the season were to be officially closed or cancelled coz of this pandemic, Liverpool can as well be awarded the title. They earned it.

That's the reasonable thing to do.
