Germany which has so far recorded fewer deaths as compared to other countries in Europe has offered a lending hand to Italy to assist it fight the deadly Coronavirus.

Germany has activated their flying ICU Plane, an Airbus A310 MedEvac. The plane has a capacity of 44 beds of which 16 are for high intensive care patients, and up to 25 medical staff.

The plane will be flying Coronavirus patients from Italy to hospitals in Germany to help curtail the seemingly impossible to handle crisis in Italy.

The patient transport unit of the aircraft consists of intensive care, "Evita 4" transport ventilator, Suction pump "Accuvac V", 2 triple syringe pumps "Combimat 2000" and Multifunction monitor "Propaq EL106".

Also on board the aircraft are: 2 defibrillators, 16 Micropaq patient monitors, 1 blood-gas analyzer, 12-lead ECG, 2 flexible bronchoscopes, "Sonosite" portable ultrasound system.

Additionally on board are ; 1 refrigerator for medical chilled goods, 1 central motor system, 4 "IP 2000" infusion pumps, 4 medumat lifebase lll, 16 triple syringe pumps.
