This is sad. You shot at an innocent man who is suffering to secure food for himself and call it stray bullet.

The annoying part of the press release is that the letter was based on their "source".
No proper investigation,even if it's just preliminary investigation at first.
Would the source,who I even suspect is the NSCDC official that shot the victim,had said anything that would implicate himself?Of course No!
These ones are as annoying as the Nigeria police sometimes when they "investigate" a crime,arrest anyone arrestable,torture suspects and get a tortured confession,case closed.
No taking the vehicle into custody,analyzing the projection of the bullet;no visiting the incident site to even ascertain how close the operative was before firing;no seizure of his rifle to even be sure it was just a single bullet he fired;etc.
Just report based on hearsay!!
