Agreed the UK has a welfare system but it isn't as immediate as you make it.

6 week wait is common. Should you need an advance, it would come in as a loan which must be paid within 12 months.

All of this of course, is for those who have a history of work/tax.
If you honestly agree that UK has a welfare system that works, you shouldn't have asked the question about any palliative in UK. You see in life one or nation need to plan incase of situation like this. Nigeria as a nation don't plan anything and that is why we are where we are now. If I am Nigeria govt I will only give palliative to only those that pay tax to teach many that dont that their is benefit in doing so.

What is wrong with this rubber stamp senate. Cut the budget according to what the country can afford. Borrowing should not be supported now because the future is not clear about Nigeria as oil is going down. What kind of leaders do Nigeria have? This is terrible.

is it really buhari that is requesting this loan or his "cabal & greedy politician" who want 2 use buhari 2 loot part of d loan. a nation that has enough raw material 2 produce goods & services will not b borrowing loan most of d time & d will not b affected if d choose 2 close their boarder 2 protect their local made goods. which show u y d land boarder closure is a scam
