A 40-year-old man identified as Uchenna Egbuchulem has been arrested by the Imo state police command for allegedly impregnating his 17-year-old biological daughter, after forcefully making canal knowledge of her.

Uchenna Egbuchulem who hails from Nduhu Alaenyi Ogwa in Mbaitoli Local Government Area of the state, was arrested on Tuseday, May 12, after the operatives of the Divisional Police headquarters, Mbaitol recieved a report from a good Samaritan.

According to the Nation's report, police spokesman said the victim, 17-year-old, Adaku Egbuchulem was an infant when her father separated from her mother.

A source said the mother of the girl was an Ivorian who was said to have left the marriage and returned to her country when the girl was an infant. After then the girl's father has been making canal knowledge of her forcefully, threatening to kill her with a cutlass if she refuse.

Confirming the incident, Police Public Relations Officer SP Ikeokwu Orlando, said the police has commenced investigation into the matter and the suspect will soon be charged to court.
