The United State of America's president, Donald Trump, has on Tuesday May 19, gave the World Health Organisation(WHO) a 30 days ultimatum for the body to come out with "substantive improvement" on Covid19 or stand the risk of losing both millions and US membership altogether.

Trump gave this threat in a letter which he addressed to WHO president, Chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, it criticises stages of the body's response since December.

In his address earlier on Monday, president Trump accused the UN's health body and called it a " puppet of China".

Himself(Trump) has faced a lot of criticism over handling of corona virus pandemic in the US as he face re-lection this year, he however, blamed China for trying to cover up the outbreak and has accused the WHO of failing to hold Beijing to account.

Meanwhile, China has repeatedly denied his claim arguing that the country had released information about the virus earlier enough, "in an open, transparent, responsible and timely manner".

The United States has more than 1.5 millions confirmed cases of covid19 out of 4.8 millions confirmed cases around the world, so far more than 90,000 people have died from the virus.

However, Trump letter came to WHO at a time where the body is facing huge pressure as Dr Tedros on Monday said the agency would review it hanging of the pandemic.

According to him, an independent evaluation would take place "at the earliest appropriate moment".

In president Trump letter to Dr Tedros, he accused the WHO of having an "alarming lack of independence" from China.

Among his assertions, Mr Trump accuses the agency of having "consistently ignored" what he describes as "credible reports" of the virus spreading in Wuhan at the start of December or even earlier.
