Why can't we just be Northern and Southern protectorates? The amalgamation of both was the worst thing to have ever happened to Nigeria. |

ProfDview1: Jealous kwa? You can only be jealous of someone that has bested you in a particular endeavour. You are still learning the ropes in Nollywood. On a serious note, we want to see stories from all nook and crannies of Nigeria in movies. It's high time this our enormous size count in our favour. Our culture is rich and diverse Nollywood has all the potential to be Number 1 in the world. 2 Likes |

If the FG implements their NBC code, that would be the end of such investment. |

LegendHero:Yoruba own nollywood because of five to Six movies on the highest grossing list? How many Yoruba movie actors have the fame of ordinary Mr ibu outside Nigeria? You better stick to your Yoruba wood and leave movie matters to those that have always made it relevant. 3 Likes |

gwafaeziokwu: Learning the ropes in Nollywood? Bested you in Nollywood? LMAO. Pls ensure to use the prescribed drugs. Yorubas are still learning the ropes and 90% of the movies raking in millions of Naira are from the Yorubas. Or do you think we are talking about Aki and Pawpaw movies shot with camera phone quality? Talk of movie writers, directors, producers etc that matter in this country - majority of them are Yorubas No wonder one of your actors was complaining that the AMVCA has been overshadowed by the Yorubas. Pls always do your research well before spewing trash. Anyway, Yorubas and Igbos make Nigeria the envy of the world. Yoruba Amaka Igbo Afonja 10 Likes |

LegendHero:When we don't know what to comment, we start looking at irrelevant aspects... Nollywood was convinced by the igbos tho little aided by the yorubas, until recently it was purely an Igbo movie industry, majority of Nollywood actors remains the Igbo.... Nobody owns Nollywood, it's a Nigerian movie industry and belongs to all... So there's nothing like Yoruba own Nollywood. 4 Likes |

chukwumzurum:The Iweka road producers should have patented the Nigerian movie industry when they started "living in bondage" that launched nollywood. We won't be arguing over who owns it now. 5 Likes |

Taye4j:They should have patented their theater arts and remained there. Maybe right now, their useless children won't be wanting to claim what is not theirs. It took living in bondage to create nollywood. It means your fore fathers did a poor job. Hollywood is over 200 years old. Their ancestors did a good job. 2 Likes |

For criticising Lai Mohammed, court remands Osun-based poet Nigeria’s Anthony Alabi stars on Netflix show, ‘Family Reunion’ The Minister also described the deal as a big boost for the country’s Creative Industry, at a time the industry is reeling from the negative effects of the Covid-19 pandemic.
