Omotola Gives 20% Proceeds From Album To Charity by tpsolomons: 2:33am On Jan 26, 2011
Actress and musician Omotola Jalade Ekeinde would be giving out 20% of proceeds from album sales to the children at Heart of Gold Hospices and SOS children village in Isolo, Lagos. The actress gave out gifts as she was guided by the founder of the Heart of Gold Hospices orphanage, Mrs Adedoyin as she toured the charity home. She met with a child that suffered from formation malfunction whose condition moved her to tears.

The following day, the actress in company of her OYEP (Omotola youth empowerment Programme) visited SOS Children village, she advised the children and donated, cloths, shoes, food stuff, biscuit, and products from Chivita to SOS village.

She became the first African to step into the shoes of Nicholas Cage and Bono when she was engaged by the biggest non-governmental organization (NGO), Amnesty International in war-torn Sierra Leone to raise awareness for the menace of high maternal mortality rate.

thats why I love Omotola. Always did. She is my best actress after Dakore and Kate Henshaw. Only problem is, 20% of nothing is erm, nothing. Typical loving gesture from the diva though. .

We should learn to appreciate good gesture especially toward humanity, she has done the little she can by helping mankind in her own little way, no matter how small. What have those who criticized her done for the disadvantage in our society. Search your heart.

Re: Omotola Gives 20% Proceeds From Album To Charity by ufofex(m): 3:40pm On Jan 26, 2011
I  wonder how some people find it convenient to undermine others and their good deeds.
At what point would one appreciate the good gesture of this lady?
Is it when she gives 100%? shocked

I'm not a fan of this woman, but I know a kind gesture when I see one.
Omotola deserves some commendation, and here is mine:
Omotola, weldone!

I doubt if the album makes 50000 N  - so she is giving away 10000N big deal

Bill gates is giving away  35billion Dollars  - now that is charity  - imagine the impact

Nigerians should learn to be grateful.
Most of our Nigerian footballers are much more richer than her, Also the politician like James Ibori and his likes who stole OUR OWN MONEY and even refused to give back just 10% of it to charity.
common Nigerians, let's embrace sincere love for the helpless

this is so funny that human beings still criticise in spite of everything you do in life. Why not commend on what she just did so others can be motivated, we just sit and talk. pls lets keep down this attitude and learn to appreciate others, that is a golden rule, so that u too would be appreciated when u do something.

You must be very very stupid and senseless to say that. Stupid illiterate who can't understand simple English.
Apart from Kanu Nkwanwo who have an heart foundation that cannot take of 10% of children with heart problems. Who again amongst the footballers have given back something substantially in proportion to what they worth??
@seye4nii, you're just foolish and stupid that's all

Most cases, we blame government for everything.
We are the government and you start affecting your immediate community by what you give.
With the kind of money people have in Nigeria, no one should suffer again, no beggar should be on the street again.
The orphans and needy in the street are much more than the ones in the motherless homes.
The rich wants to get richer and richer,  greediness.
Maybe if Cecillia Ibru had put only 100b out of the whole money she stole into charity, maybe her sins would have been pardoned.

It's a good marketing move.
That way people tend more to buy if they know some fraction of it is going to a good cause and it's not all going to be spent on "yahoozie" and "humma"
