COVID-19: Not Yet Safe To Reopen School ― FG by Perfecttouchade: 6:59pm On Jun 15, 2020 |
The Federal Government Monday warned states considering reopening of schools to jettison such plan, says the current situation of COVID-19 did not in any way support such initiative. Speaking during a daily briefing in Abuja, Chairman of the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19, Boss Mustapha said that the reopening of schools at this critical time amounts to exposing the general public to more danger. “We get report that some states are considering reopening of schools, viewing centres and other gatherings that encourage large crown, such step is not encouraging at this moment. PTF is emphasising that it’s not yet safe to do so. We need to be cautious and adhere to the PTF guideline. Mustapha regretted that the COVID-19 battle is no longer in the hand of health workers but rather in the hand of the general public, “before, health workers were our front line but that is no longer so, the war has shifted to the community, our health works are now our last line of defence. “The war can no longer be won at the hospital, you are now responsible for protecting yourself, family and community, we must avoid large gathering and need to be responsible. PTF will remain conscious and adhere to precaution guideline like social distance, face mask among others”. https://www.vanguardngr.com/2020/06/covid-19-not-yet-safe-to-reopen-school-―-fg/ 1 Like

This is what is expected when men with no value for education is in charge. The truth is that wheter school resumes or not the figures will keep rising..Many will contact the disease,Few people will keep on dieing and there will be many recoveries. There is no point closing schools. When our kids still roam around mixing up with different kind of people and there age mates.Or are they locked up at home? Govt should restore our 6 working days back. Its obvious that the three days is pointless. |

mannobi:nobody will risk the lives of their children this time, do u guys care about the 9months pains and labour pains at all? But wait, won't u people complain if parents don't have the money to pay for school bills because everybody sef dey try survive now, let's all wait till things begin to pick up..we will all blame the government if the anything goes wrong..let's think about the calamities and not our selfish interest..we are in this problem because government failed to close border on time , and lack of proper and proactive measures were not adequately put in place. We can't handle anymore damages until we are able to reduce the damages caused already 1 Like |

If schools reopen and no parent are able to sort bills due to the current state of things, won't the teachers complain again? Every parents are striving to survive this hard times, some homes find it hard to feed at this moment...are they the ones to pay for school bills and books for their children..will teachers go to work hungry and without means of upkeep, let's all think before we start demanding for resumption, isolation centres are filled with no space again, now someone is saying that people wey go catch the disease go catch , people wey go die go die, can we handle the spread? 1 Like |
