Besides the health benefit of bathing, it makes you feel good, refreshed and comfortable. Unfortunately, there are a group of people who do not enjoy the refreshment and comfort bathing gives. To them, bathing is like taking chloroquine; right after bathing, their body will start to itch. The severity of the itching differs from one individual to the other. It could be mild or intense. Though it differs from one individual to another, one thing is certainly common – it is very disturbing. 1. Change your soap

Let’s start with the simple and common ones first. Some of these itches are caused by your soup. It is either because your soap contains ingredients your body is allergic to or the soap makes your skin too dry. All these can cause your body to itch. Change your soap to see if the itching will stop. Some local soaps like “Alata Samina” can be very helpful. Try buying some from a nearby shop.

2. Don’t shower for too long

This is also another simple and common remedy that can greatly help you. Bathing with enough water is good but don’t resort to using too much water. Using too much water at the bath will rid your body of any oil. This will make your skin dry and sensitive. Your body itches when it’s dry and sensitive. Try using less but enough water to see if the itching will stop.

3. Check your bathroom

This is one of the major causes of itches after bathing. Unfortunately, only a few people are aware of this. There are people whose bathroom is painted with all the flags of African countries. The floor is green, the white walls are now yellow with red stripes. A dirty bathroom causes disgust. This makes your body respond with an itch. If you are bathing and you have the feeling that if your sponge or towel fall and you won’t pick it, then the bathroom is not appealing to you.

Very true @op. I used to experience that hellish itch until I changed my bathing soap, went for the local called _saburu sahor_ in hausa, and it ended. Also not bathing quick in the day, bathing with hot water causes it. Then dry skin.
