duni04:We can only hope for the best now, it looks like the second wave of this pandemic is the reason for the CEC/PNP specific draw. Thank God the vaccines are rolling out faster, IRCC should resume with full capacity soon. I even heard they are processing CEC application with full capacity while FSW guys are not seeing much progress in their application. If your birthday is still very far, 470 is a nice score. If any body is loosing points soon, I advice you increase your score. |

We have a baby boy of 1year plus. ednut1: Thanks for responding So I start all over using the same reference code? The other profile won’t affect me? Also do I need to answer yes if asked whether I have applied Should I add the ‘$’ to my pof figure ( I’m just trying to be extra careful this time) Thanks once again |

Your age and educational qualification make you better fit to be the primary applicant. Why not use the CRS tool to see what score you can with IELTS scores of you and you wife and other parameters? Flip back a page or go to page 1 for a link to the tool. Then compare your score with the current IRCC cut-off score to determine if you need to add french to your qualification. 1 of the posts above referred to the current cut-off score. Midex88: |

Good evening everyone, hubby applied for a remark in his writing and his application has been acknowledged since the 14th of December 2020, but up till now, the result is still not yet out. We even messaged them twice on Twitter, make several calls to their office, still it’s a brick wall. Is this a normal occurrence? It’s MOD IDP by the way. |

Great nairalanders, I greet I am finally making a post (Sighs). I have read enough and even opened a jotter to make notes on this thread. I even went through the closed PNP thread. However, please permit me to still ask questions, because despite all my reading, I am still confused. So, my wife(the would be PA) and I have decided to embark on this PR journey. We have both done WES for Msc and my PGD. We have also done IELTS but awaiting results. Here lies my worries. Even if we both get the best IELTS results, her CRS score will be around 450 since age is not on our side (she's younger and would be 36 soon). With this, it appears the PNP route is our best option. I have a cousin in Manitoba, who has expressed willingness to help. I read that can give additional 200 points. I have equally read here that the Family route MPNP scheme in Canada has been suspended. How true? With this scenario, what is our best option? During WES Evaluation, wifey did only her Masters and left out her other qualifications (OND Accountancy, Bsc Accounting). I also did only my PDG leaving out my ND and HND (I have completed my professional Masters but yet to get the results due to strike and the irresponsibility of the institution I attended). Can we update our WES by evaluating these other qualifications to boost score? My PGD evaluation didn't give me much educational qualification points. Great people, how can we boost our CRS score? Is there any PNP option available to us to exploit? Please assist a confused brother. God bless |

Good evening. As regards this, I'm in the same shoes. Even a reply from IRCC as regards my request for authorisation on going for new medicals was still generic. IRCC just explained their offices are working below capacity and the rest of the same story. Accra is yet to send any update on the matter. My passport has been sent since September 2020. Have you been able to sort it out? |

Hi purespikes, as for your evaluation with Wes , your wife has evaluated her highest degree which is Msc and there’s no need evaluating the lower ones because it’s to no end, then you too what you can do is send in your masters transcript when your school opens, all those other lower certificates like ond and professional courses don’t matter when you have a masters(except a PHD). As for pnp, I don’t know much but people who do will contribute, but I know pnp targets people with certain CRS scores and NOC’s . French is also an option due to age. Did you max our IELTS ? For PA maxing our means 8.5,8,7.5,7.5 in LRWS and also for dependant maxing our is 8,7,7,7. |

Debbieeeeeee: Thanks Debbieeeeeee for your prompt response. IELTS results isn't out yet, but I am hopeful and confident we would hit top scores. The funny thing is even if we max, CRS points would still be around 450. It is well.... 1 Like |

purespikes:The PA should learn French. With 7-9 months intensive(If no prior knowledge of French) the PA should be ready for exams. Don’t forget, eyes on the goal! Do everything possible. All the best with your IELTS results too. If your occupation is in demand in certain provinces too , look into those provinces. I think lawyers are the most unfortunate for PNP because it’s a regulated profession and law is a degree that doesn’t cross borders. 5 Likes |

Canadahome: Thanks for your response. I've also done a bit of further reading and seen that i need course by course evaluation, not just a general ECA. Have there been instances where a Nigerian engineering degree "failed" the course by course ECA? I graduated a while ago, worried my course content may not be relevant today in Canadian equivalence. Any advice on this please? |

Hello everyone, Please I’m quite new here but I’ve been following this thread since early last year as a guest before I applied and this page has really helped a lot by just reading through everyday (still helping). Thanks to everyone Thought my PPR story would be the major reason to register on Nairaland but as God would have it, I’m in a tight corner right now. My Medicals expired 2weeks ago and I’ve just gotten a request from IRCC for remed but the earliest possible date I’m seeing is for the 11th of February (IOM) which wasn’t a problem until I realised I have to travel to Ogun state 1st of February, not to be back until after 3/4weeks. Please, I was hoping to see if there’s anyone ready to swap dates, anytime from now till 1st of Feb. I have a appointment booked for 11th of Feb. NB; I’m currently in Abuja; IOM ABUJA PLEASE!!! Thanks in advance. |

Igethope:Pandemic is ravaging and workplaces are shrinking jobs, so it makes sense not to over-approve apps or do FSW draws as if all is well. |
