HOW TO TREAT HEPATITIS B
Hepatitis B is a viral infection that attacks the liver. The virus is transmitted through contact with the blood or through sexual intercourse. The only body fluids or secretions that can transmit the virus are blood, semen, vaginal secretions, saliva and wound fluids. For transmission to occur, one of these fluids must pass into the bloodstream of a healthy person.
Infection with the hepatitis B virus begins with a silent incubation period of about 2 months but can last up to 6. As with hepatitis A, after incubation, the acute phase of the disease is asymptomatic in 90% of cases! For the others, the signs that appear may be anorexia, liver pain, nausea and jaundice (jaundice). Jaundice can last for more than a month.
