Certainly you can't get sovereignty through bullying, hate speech and hate filled campaigns.

You don't need to get people killed there is always a diplomatic way of doing it.
You don't boast that you will sacrifice your people just to get sovereignty.

Oduduwa Nation will come and no blood will be shed!
All that is needed is unity of purpose.
You mean Odudufraud.

But somebody once said..."if he hear the Yoruba people beating drums of war,he will go back to sleep.."

That is because his generations have been beaten black and blue in all wars and taken as slaves by the Fulanis.Remind him also that only less than 200 Yoruba soldiers defeated battalions of Biafran army at Ore during the war. grin

[quote author=Omooba77 post=94250887]The President-General of the Yoruba World Congress, Prof. Banji Akintoye, said on Wednesday that the over 55 million Yoruba people in the South-West would get freedom by having the sovereign Yoruba nation without breaking the law of Nigeria or shedding blood.

Akintoye stated this at the YWC House in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, during the celebration of the anniversary of the Kiriji War, which happened over 130 years ago.

The retired don said, “We have been saying we will have the Yoruba nation. The Yoruba World Congress is committed to helping the Yoruba nation to secure its position in the comity of nations.”

Stressing the significance of the struggle, he said, “When we first started the process, we had a total of 45 organisations, but now, we can boast of a total of 107 different organisations.

“They do say that I don’t compromise; it is not every time. But once we say we will take a common stance, I don’t know how to betray. We will get the Yoruba nation free without violence; we will not break the laws of Nigeria. If there is anyone who wants to be violent, we will tell them, no.”

On the proposed rally fixed for October 1 by some youths, he said they reserved the rights to stage the rally, but warned against violence.”

The leader of the Movement for Oduduwa Republic, Mr Akin George, stressed on unity among the Yoruba.

He said, “We can’t fight the enemies if the home front is divided. We may have misunderstanding, but it should not lead to a quarrel.”

Other dignitaries at the celebration were High Chief Lekan Balogun, the Otun Olubadan who represented the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Saliu Adetunji; the Convener, Yoruba Koya, Otunba Deji Osibogun, among others.

If it's that easy biafrans and catalonians would have since gotten their Independence. undecided

Una just dey use IPOB dey shine .. Everything Yoroubas think they have achieved or have was just a pat on the back to never igbo rise.

It might sound as false but every Yorouba leader tend to be successful in Nigerian affairs once an igbo is unsuccessful.

Leave the fight for them alone, you would see thier weak mentality. Same with Awolowo, Benjamin Adekule, Abiola and next is Tinubu .

Awolowo tought he was wise when he was in control during the war, lol after the war, he lamented worse than those that was conquered in the war.

Benjamin Adekunle bragged how he defeated Biafran army but couldn't fight for his salary when the war was over .

I wont mention Abiola cause it is strictly northern Affair.

Tinubu in 2015 taught he was the master planner when he collided with Buhari to vote out Goodluck supported by igbos. He succeeded like his ancestors, Today we can see what is happening.

The only way you can achieve anything is if the agenda will counter any agenda of igbos in the south. Unfortunately igbo will support you on this one.

Make una stop the boasting, we know how strong and intelligent you guys are.

But according to the statement...there is no war to be fought...so,where do drums come from...wat I understand from the statements is dat Yoruba nation will come without bloodshed or war...just unity of purpose... So,dear...there is no war drum anywhere...Thanks

Nobody gives you freedom without some form of struggle.

The war could be political, religious, or even military. It doesn't always have to be military, but it always entails some sort of sacrifice or another.

ask yourself, who has been beating the drum of war since?d Igbos have been burning Nigeria down every day n nobody dey send them again.we don see them as regular noise makers.

Now they are talking about burning Nigeria down by October 12 n nobody dey send them again.

so it's obvious if the Igbos say they are bringing hell fire ,just go to bed.

Even Nnamdi Kanu that want to burn Nigeria down couldn't attend his father's funeral.

Is this not exactly what ipob is preaching about? but yet you yorobers jump around like monkeys any time they are killed.

I won't be surprised if you guys still insult the biafran movement while still agitating for yours.

Bunch of Jokers.
the way both regions approach their problems is different,Igbos believe in chestbeating, noise n no action, yorubas believe in less noise much action.

we brought amotekun without losing a single soul but u know d number of Igbos that have been sacrificed yet BSS is no where to b found.

Yorubas will achieve whatever they want without losing anything n anybody getting killed, that's to tell u d pen is mightier than d sword

yorubas use sense n achieve,Igbos use noise n chestbeating n get pythoned
