@Phema: My wife went in August 2014 to Access bank @165, but i can't remember the other % charges that were deducted. But it was better than black market. She went with her International passport, flight ticket (which they had to confirm by calling BA) |

MadameU: @ Nita2013 please how far is zazu panee apartment from MIHS? Do you have an idea and please which other ones are kind of closer apart from extended stay, Cos extended prices for december are gangstar! Thanks |

GenoMI: Cheiii @ MIHS mamas, I sympathise with you , but don't worry God dey. For those looking for other options apart from the Border Town (I hail una border people oo), why not look into Gwinnett (in Atlanta) also? This is a summary of the costs I have so far: I haven't laughed this hard. This poster cracked me up with his convince and not confuse line |

Just called MIHS now and insisted on speaking with Francesca Hernandez. After plenty transfers, I finally got to her. She confirmed my earlier appointment and reiterated that I will be paying the old price. I asked for something like an assurance in form of an email, she said the only confirmation will be the package I will be signing when I come and that unfortunately, it's hard copy and cannot be emailed. She kept saying "don't worry ma'am, you will be paying $2,888, and I'll be the one to handle that". Her direct contact is +1 602 344 1675 It felt so good to hear it from the "horse's" mouth. . If I reach there she dare fuckup, the way I will so curse her out in my local lingo eeehh Now, I've gone ahead to make my hotel reservation. Na flight remain. TeamclicksAir, how far na? MIHS mamas going in November (mid - late November), please, let's hook up ooo. 3 Likes |

Phema: Lol Phema. This is what I always do. I keep reserving till i'm ready too pay. U can reserve for 72hours. But then you'll have to pay at a GT Bank or through the GT internet banking platform. So If I check today and see $1650 I reserve. I'll have till Sunday to pay for it. Then i'll check again tomorrow for a different price or better connection and reserve etc. Hope that helps |

Phema: BTA is for business travellers. Usually with a higher limit. PTA is for individuals. You can't get more than $4000 in a quarter. |

Hello everyone, Has anybody here considered using an insurance plan to cover the cost of birthing? I just spoke to my Uncle and he suggested getting an insurance plan and then using it to cover the cost of giving birth. I used to live in US and I had coverage for the 9 years I was there, he suggested reviving the coverage since I have a social security number and all the things I need to sign up again. It's looking like a feasible arrangement, but I want to be sure I won't violating any visa rules (a la Medicaid) if I explore this route. I'll appreciate if anyone can advise on this. thanks |

mimibe: Hello all, I delivered my baby boy last week Tuesday in Gwinnett by dr Oduro, the nurses were fanstatic. The financial lady said I will receive the bill in 8-10 business days, I'm yet to receive my bill. I ve received birth certificate which I processed thru vital records and it was sent to my apartment in 24 hrs. I'm still trying to get how to go about the passport issuance. Hi Mimibe, Congratulations on the birth of your LO. I am particularly interested in your bill because you had a boy and i want to confirm if Gwinnett has a max bill of $3,600 like we have been told here.Did you circumcise?Did you have Epidural? If Yes,was that prepaid or you paid after the service? How many days did you spend in the hospital? i am guessing Dr Oduro did it?how much was his fee for that?Is Dr Oduro Nigerian?just wondering randomly because of his name(not an important info)? At this junction, you will be able to tell us the total fees for Dr Oduro since you are done with him.please what did it come to? If i may correct you, what you received at home is a birth notification not a birth certificate, you go to pick up your BC and you pay a fee for it Since you are in ATL, you can also get a Nigerian passport instead of a visa. Its cheaper and has a longer duration Please keep us posted and rest as much as you can |

GenoMI: Cheiii @ MIHS mamas, I sympathise with you , but don't worry God dey. For those looking for other options apart from the Border Town (I hail una border people oo), why not look into Gwinnett (in Atlanta) also? This is a summary of the costs I have so far: Hi Genomi, please can you find out from Gwinnett OBGYN group how much circumcision is for those having boys?so that we don't assume a wrong cost?please which doctor's office gave your friend $250 for circumcision? They should be considered too.. Also are you aware that Gwinnett OBGYN sends midwifes for deliveries and the doctor on call only comes if u have a tear and they need to sow? This can go both ways..delivery without the need for a doctor or delivery that leads to a 4th degree tear because of the absence of a doctor..... I understand this Gwinnett bill you stated doesn't cover the epidural (medication) please i do not mean to confuse the house but the epidural medication is charged under the hospital fees and the anesthesiologist is the one that usually charges $500 prepaid separate from hospital fees.please feel free to correct me if i am wrong Also,i like your faith calculating with $2,400.I suggest you budget with $3,600 and you can spend the change if you get any on extra shopping smiley. |
