The hospital finally caved-in, demanding for police report but insisted on deposit before stopping the bleeding. The time wasted led to his bleeding to death

The painful thing is that, in all of that none of his family members was contacted. The negotiation was between the police and the hospital management.

I think the quest to save life is the top priority for doctors. I also think that the law of insisting on police report before treating gun wounds is obsolete.?

Shithole policies, now that he is dead will the doctors need a police report the keep him at the morgue. I thought saving human should be the primary responsibility of doctors. RIP to the young man

This kind of heartlessness is unbelievable. At least, he should have been stabilized first before addressing the issue of bills. This best fits an example of quack doctoring. How can you save lives if you can't administer a simple first aid treatment to a dying patient? It's even more appalling knowing that the police whose duties are essentially the same with doctors, were there.

That Doc must be punished. Where did he study? That ridiculous act has been removed since 2014 Health bill. You treat first and then call the security.
In this case according to the story, Police were there.

This are the kind of things we should be protest,.they should protest untill the hospital is closed completely.

The Hospital is dirty and the footballer was poorly managed. I have been shouting on this issue for a very long time. Nigeria have killing houses as Hospitals and poorly trained professionals. Nigerians deserve better Healthcare.

There are no laws to obtain police report before treating a gunshot victim...
Hospital are only requested to notify the authorities of a case of gunshot or serious bodily injury after or during treatment.

not supporting the act though but only God knows what they might have passed through before this day.

The finance is another thing, treating patient with hospital money only for d patient to abscond after treatment is another factor..

If u hear the hospital mgt ugly story about this type of case again u wouldl get dumbfounded.
