NALVEJ Hails Gidado's Appointment, Praises Kwara, Labour Over Suspended Strike

The National League of Veteran Journalists(NALVEJ), in Kwara state, has congratulated a media guru, Alh Razak Gidado on his appointment as a national commissioner of the National Population Commission(NPC).

The league in a statement by its chairman, Alh Tunde Akanbi, described Gidado's appointment as well deserved.

It noted that Gidado had paid his dues as a journalist of note and as a politician who has passion for the development of Kwara state.

The league expressed confidence in the ability of Gidado to excel in his new appointment given his track records of achievements in public offices where he had served in the past.

It prayed Allah to guide and guard the appointee in the discharge of his duties at the NPC.

The league, meanwhile, hailed the decision of the organised labour in the state to call off their industrial action.

It hailed the labour and the state government for their matured handling of the issue that led to the industrial action in the first place.

It canvassed holding of meaningful dialogue that will ensure a win- win situation on both sides on the implementation of the N30,000 minimum wage for the state workers.
