It's actually not easy to be a Nigerian. Trust me.

See how allegations and counter allegations are flying here and there whereas our president remains quiet.

We all saw pictures of a man taking 2 cameras away from the same tollgate and the news was making rounds on social media yet, nobody from the company could clear the air that they're mere vehicle scanners.

In addition, why was it coincidental that the light at the tollgate went off at about the same time the military came based on rumors circulating on the internet.

I just wish all of these is a bad nightmare and someone would wake me up to a better world. It's crazy being a Nigerian.

Very soon you guys will say wuna no off light. "There was a power failure at the venue of protest alone...even the backup systems failed."

For those who dont understand, denial is the only way they can avoid prison in the nearby future. Because this thing will blow back years to come. They will never accept responsibility because they won't be in power forever.

I DNT know why igbos are fast to deny any news against the lekki massacre, it seems u want to gain something from the massacre. I also DNT support the killing if there is any but let both party come with evidence not sentiment.
u see igbos storm any thread supporting the massacre till it reach more than hundred pages but they abscond swiftly from news against it.

You mean evidence just like the covid 19 scam.

No Police station nor government property or Oba palace was attacked or burnt by the peaceful youths singing national anthem, all those videos circulating around on the internet are from Buhari Media Crew who only want to heat up the nation with lies to cover up for their masters corruption and incompetency in maintaining those government properties which are all dilapidated as a result of old age.

The video of buses being burnt happened during 1993 Abiola protest.

The Oba palace attack video is an old video of a communal clash between Ajah and Epe monarch some years ago.

If you say Oba Akiolu palace was attacked and vandalized, why didn't we see Oba Akiolu in his palace appealing to the youths to calm down Where were the palace guards

They even brought video of youths that invaded one Lagos LGA during the covid-19 lockdown to cart away relief materials donated to them which the LGA chairman locked up, and they termed it looting of Oba palace, by who; peaceful protesters chanting national anthem

This same mischief makers in government went as far as colluding with various DPOs of our great nation's police stations to set their own stations ablaze so that they can use the opportunity to loot more government funds, we know all these tactics and won't fall for them.

BMC should stop accusing peaceful Nigerian youths and allow them enjoy peace in their own fatherland.

Thank you,
Peaceful Nigerian Youths

I believe them. Nigerians reason with emotions. They said the cameras removed are infrared cameras used to capture vehicle tags. That the CCTV are overhead and still there. The Governor said the footage is being examined.

I BELIEVE THEM. I BELIEVE THEM.

What the management should have done is to simple show us the CCTV footages of what happened there on that Tuesday night instead of this long grammar. At least it will help in clearing some misconceptions.

Re: LCC: Security Cameras Were Not Removed From Lekki Toll Gate by iamjavadem(m): 12:48pm On Oct 22, 2020
The cameras removed were not security cameras, it is a laser camera for cars; it picks tags for cars and plate numbers; it is not a security camera; it is an infrared camera; security cameras are still available and that is what we are using for our own investigation. nairaland is always 12 hours behind the news.

1st they said nobody was shot, now they are saying the CCTVs weren't removed Bloody liars!
And those that believe that fairytale about people not being shot, abeg tell me, who sanwo olu was apologizing to yesterday Who did sanwo Olu visit at the hospital yesterday Who did Osinbajo in his tweets apologize to Why is the government setting up investigation panels to investigate the "SHOOTING" at lekki toll gate

And why is it that only Known Buhari supporters on Nairaland are the ones denying that there was no shooting? We all know how their mouths emanates lies.

you are wrong. check his statement again. seyi tinubu said his company only owns the electronic bill board at the toll gate which his company switched off in line with the curfew order. he did not say he is the contractor of the toll gate itself. he in fact said he has nothing to do with the CCTV camera and electric power supply to the toll gate.
if however you have any other source of information I am unaware of, kindly share

So his own is bill board not camera. But someone uninstalled a camera. Lights shut off, bill boards taken off. Lets tell ourselves the truth, how many electronic bill boards were switch off in Lagos that night or was the curfew just at Lekki? How many cameras where uninstalled around Lagos on 20-10-20? What happened in Lekki was no coincidence, it was premeditated bro. If we could agree on that fact then we should all speak up. We are not interested in the government going back and forth but let the truth be told and the right thing done. If the people who did this are allowed to go free due to action or inaction of anyone, then be rest assured that you are I are not safe either.

1. Yes...most of those people just had mild scrapes and were sitting up in chairs at the hospital.

2. They panicked because they believed soldiers were shooting at them. Even in the videos where the soldiers ere visibly shooting up, you should see people saying protesters were being shot at.

Apparently the average Nigerian does not know that a bullet fired upwards is harmless on its return flight.

God will punish you people for taking peoples lives. And for those supporting Buhari, you are fooling your self, you are not helping yourself, your family or Nigeria at large . When you see something bad say it. Forget pdp or apc. Nigeria is not on the right track, who is not feeling the heat? If you out there you are not, that means you are part of our senate that collect obessed salary. Think!!!

They were not removed, rather they were vandalized (probably unknowingly) by the protesters and some of them were already dangling while some were on the floor. Those guys only came to pick them up. If you check the pictures being circulated very well you will see some of those cameras still intact in their normal position.
