During undergrad graduation project the few options I got were:
* A multi language interpreting server e.g wamp, lamp but those are single langauge i.e php one that can hadle asp, php and python. Minimum of four languages.
* An application that can calculate pi to 70 decimal places on a parallel network.
* A tiny operating system for an embedded chip that can handle applications installation.
* A linux installer like windows installer that can handle *.exe, not a windows simulation like wine.
* A tiny pascal compiler.
* A line following robot simulation, that can handle sumo wrestling (figuring out an opponent and a friendly).
* A chess game that can be played by two and one player, and can recognize game moves like gambit, kasparov moves and all and actually explain them to the player.
the list is long but these are a few i can remember.
