I bought the FBN public offer on 19 of this month, and the stamp on the teller was dated 16, June 07, i lodged the complaint that it is not the correct date on it but the cashier told me there was a problem with the stamp so the 9 is turning upside down and also she told me there is no problem with it. So I just want to ask Nairaland users if it is true. Can one get scammed by the bank? I'm confused and don't want to loose my money.

No need to fear, provided the teller was stamped. What matters is that they have acknoledged receipt of ur money and your form accepted. What u pray for now is that your shares get alloted to U. But do keep a copy of that teller.
I hope you also made a copy of your form.

Not that it will be alloted to somone else, its just that if the offer is oversubcribed they will cut down on what each individual application is. Say u applied for 100,000 units and the offer comes oversubcribed then u might end up with a fraction of that. Def. not all.

All depends on the management of the firm of which I am not so relax bro
