NEDG, Wrong . That was not a debate. Bias in allowing a single person to carry on the (debate) giving shit tasting excuse. But I'm not disappointed at that anyway. BUHARI/ SHEKARAU/RIBADU , Wrong . Not to have attended the so called debate even if felt spited by the earlier refusal by GEJ. The three just played into the hands of PDP. Madueke . GEJ , wrong . I'm not impressed Me , wrong Because I'm not voting what is gonna happen is the continuation of what is and has been same ACN/PDP magic.Wish Fela is still alive. Most respondents here are too emotional and sentimental and thus will vote based on these . Just like in religion nothing can be wrong , their own side is always and only correct. ( Rigid). and such will blind to see the goodness and need to readdress position. We have a very looooooooong way to go in terms of good governance in this country and we are not starting now,May be 2015(cause i think we don't know what we need and if we do it is still a few that does and the few are too minute, and voiceless and ! sobs. I cry for 9ja and cry for myself , |

@ emeka gh we all know what's up in this country and if we don't keep on using BIG words like unpatriotic to address people of different opinion to ours rather than discuss it, then I repeat we are doomed for a collapse as that is the consequences of such actions if it continues. Unpatriotic is such a BIG WORD to use on a fellow country just because of expressing an innocuous opinion differnt from yours and it is a crime. The negatives makes the positives positive". Great and democratic nations of present era are built upon tolerance and balance of temperament and I guess you be christian even the Bilble tells nations the consequencies of their actions and inactions . So don't go emotional with me bro. Sorry bro , I am not frustated oo speak for yourself. you rather pray to be in my shoes. God bless you if ypu want it. I leave you to judge yourself for wishing such for your family and not mine curse I didot curse you or your family or this country bro. |

df2006: So as per your logic restored second hand locomotive trains is an achievement? While your PDP spent unknown billions on yeye locomotive trains,South Africa spent only $2.5 billion and achieved a fully operational bullet train network in 3 years : http://www.gautrain.co.za/. On another note please compare our own railway corp website ( www.nrc-ng.org)to the above one and you will see that everything we do in Nigeria is always below standard even though we spend more money than everyone else. Like my brother Ibime said,i am glad i have dual citizenship. At least i have options and my kids will grow up in a progressive society devoid of the moral decadence that plagues Nigeria. |

Though a member of this forum, I often refrain from making posts because of the shallow nature of most of the posts we all make on this forum. Someone will start an intellectually challenging post and before you say GEJ, some people will turn it into an abusive thread. We love rumours, bring him down syndrome and anything that in our own perception seems to be right. I thought there was a saying like ''hearing from the horses mouth"? GEJ has told us why he did not attend the NN24 debate and some of us are still holding on to the baised and malicious stories the opposition cooked up to embarass the president. Granted, everyone reserves the right to choose, but please, let us respect the office of the president of Nigeria. Not mainly because of GEJ, but because the office is exalted. I can imagine some getting expo for questions that sometime require follow up, lengthy explanations e.t.c, The debate has succeded in putting a lie to the malicious assault on the president's intellectual fecundity. He was in his humble self and the high point of the debate was telling us what his presidency will stand for. UNITY! Some of us may never know, this battle is not for jonathan, it is for the respect and complete integration of all minorities in this country. If ''they'' had succeded in bullying the president out of this contest, there would have been an unwritten understanding that; NO MINORITY CAN RULE IN NIGERIA! Thank God they did not succeed. God bless us all!! |

deezzle:^^This is nothing but emotionalism on display. 12 years ago you didn't even have access to the internet talk-less of posting this nonsense. Mr Henry Bellingham, UK Parliamentary Under Secretary of State For Africa and Overseas Territories, said this at a two-day investment forum tagged: “Making Nigeria Your Goal.’’ Utilize the opportunities around you and stop waiting for Government to spoon feed you. |
Re: Official Thread Of The Bon Nedg Presidential Debate by BIGERBOY1: 5:12am On Mar 31, 2011 |
Guys common u seriously think d debate would have been smooth with the 3 aspirants in? See how PDD/BON summarily disqualified okotie and momodu Why did BON make a slot for GEJ yesterday And notice that it was after AC AnPP withdrew that we were told the debate was going to be for two days in batches. How convenient for GEJ And u think BON wouldn't have found a Flimsy reason to disqualify shekarau for being to 'eloquent' or ribadu for being to 'youthful' or they they might just say the debates are 3's so GEJ will have to hold he's alone on the third day or with some mickey mouse candidates pulled out of the PDP chess of tricks. Common guys lets get serious these guys are playing us and we let them. Do you sincerely think PDP will do anything differently in the next 4 yrs other than claim GEJ is entitled to 8 yrs- never mind he said he will stay only one term. |

Too Bad!Too Bad!! Too Bad!!!. Is this our President? Our Leaders(including the so called, 'certificated' illiterates) are totally at a loss on how to manage themselves, not to talk of managing a Nation. I have been struggling hard to come to grip with the Nigerian Reality Show, where our leaders thrive on religious and ethnic sentiments, lack of focused direction and inability to come up with intellectual, incisive analysis of how to solve problems. It is either they are borrowing ideas without considering the peculiarities of our unique environment or they are busy looking for under-age girls to conquer and developing pot bellied status to reflect their Grand Master status in Corruption. The malaise has run deep. Nothing to jubilate in the Nigerian Ph.D or most of the other degrees for that matter(B.Sc,MBA, etc), if we are unable to reflect higher level of thinking to justify the training and education received. Anyway, what do we expect, when it is now the norm that conducting serious minded research has been jettisoned for 'dubbing' at Tertiary Levels. It will be a VERY SAD day, if the likes of Jonathan and his PDP Rulers get back to Government. That will be a day of National Mourning. Our present crop of Leaders is a terrible disservice to the focused Intellectuals we have in this Country. No wonder, a lot of them are now living in Environment that will not call your SANITY to question. We need a SERIOUS DELIVERANCE not from DEMONS but from these SATANIC RULERS without CONSCIENCE. |

i dont think u guys get it. a vote 4 nice man gej is only a vote to allow his greedy party bosses continue raping our dear nation and impregnating it with the ugly child called poverty. i wont mind voting him as presido in another party though he isnt that smart. pdp is using him as smokescreen 4 continous looting & protecting themselves. in the interest of you and yr kids future pls understand this and vote wisely! To pdp, keeping u poor is a strong tool they intend to keep using. a word is enuff. |

Pls and pls kets be fair with our comments, gej is not that bad maybe he is in a very corrupt party, agreed but the others aren't any better.nn24 is only on dstv what's the percentage of nigerians with access. What I know is that our politicians would flock to anyparty that's in control. What I don't want is a sensless roundtriPping for the next 4 yrs. Buhari am sorry am a capitalist would u allow the priv sector to drive the economy, I don't think so, I know loads of pple wud be tried in our corrupt courts and after 4 yrs little wud be done. But really why were these panelists asking Jonathan ques like he isnt the sitting Presido? They kept askin him que like if he gets elected what wuld he do abt this and dat? No ques on what he has been doing in over 1yr in office? Why after 12 yrs of his party and over $16bn spent on Power, NEPA is comatose? Why has bombing spread from the Niger Delta to all over Naija under just 1 yr of his rule? Why has there been a slowing down of the anticorruption tempo in his over 1yr rule? Why werent the spectators allowed to ask questions like in other debates, am sure a lot of nigerians have a lot to ask Mr Presido? Why wasnt the ever-critical Reuben Abati who was used for the 1st series of the Presido debate on Tue not used for the one of GEJ? To me those panelists were very mild with GEJ |

DoNotBanMe: LOL,beaf i have told you to go and see a shrink before to help you with your split personality disorder. You keep changing your handle like a monkey in heat. You keep on attacking kobojunkie ,she is not on your level mister. The success she has attained in her professional life is something you may never achieve because you do not have the kind of moral discipline she has.Besides she is one of the most respected women on this forum so buzz off and go and kiss GEJ's butt. df2006: He dey pepper you say una no get bullet train for your country No be my fault now.shebi u say GEJ na your papa,go ask am why him party give una locomotive train. DoNotBanMe: Yes Nigeria is bad and Jonathan is making it even worse with his circus antics.Even babangida would not have debated with himself because he has a brain to at least dribble Nigerians.Your Jonathan is nothing more than a glorified fisherman scamming Nigerians with his so called "humble attitude" facade. Nigeria has a lot of world records ,here they are: It is the first nation in the world to have a Police strike It is the first nation in the world to have a dead president in charge. It is the nation in the world to have an incumbent president debate with himself during elections period. Do you not see that you and your boss are a joke,i watched the reality show yesterday with my friends 3 south Africans and 1 Ghanaian. They giggled throughout the whole show. They thought this was the best Nigerian comedy ever. The have even nicknamed Nigeria ; comedy central! When they left my house yesterday, one of the South Africans even asked when the next episode of the "Nigerian south park " will be taking place so he can invite more guests and pay for beers. Can you imagine how i felt when my country is being made fun of in my presence thanks to MR d.um.bluck Jonathan? I guess not because guys like you do not have any self esteem or dignity,as long as GEJ keeps paying your salary you do not care what happens to the 100 million Nigerians living below the poverty line. Do you not care what the outside world thinks of this country.I thought we were supposed to present an image of a corruption free country. The fact that GEJ debated with himself just shows that Nigeria is the most corrupt and morally rotten country in the world. The whole world laughed at Nigeria yesterday, ask any independent news network to do a survey in the USA ,UK, SA ,e.t.c about what non Nigerians thought of the debate. You will see that Jonathan is not respected anywhere in the world. He is simply known as the love-vendor president. And you come here making all these noise. You should bury your head in shame become your incumbent is not capable. He was not tested at all,he did not go face to face with any of his opponents;instead he created his own artificial luck to soothe himself.I will floor him in a debate and so will my educated Zimbabwean housemade because she is even more articulate than him. GEJ is a disgrace and so is the office of the federal republic of Nigeria, maybe we should just split and you can let drunk GEJ rule over niger delta republic while we vote for the likes of sound minded rascal fashola to rule over odua republic. We are tired of the circus called PDP and we will end it in 2011. |

abibio2001: It's all fraud and deception. Just imagine the clueless man running around the country promising everything under the sun as if he's not the president or just incapable of lifting his freeking fingers to implement at least one item of his laundry list. Look at his add on TV, nothing about his achievements, just some nonsense about not having shoes and school bag. Ok, so you didn't have school shoes and school bag, how is that rubbish going to help us? how is that going to put food on the table, how is that going to provide jobs, electricity, health care, quality education and so on? On the other hand, look at Fashola's add, it's a complete display and narration of his accomplishments, not some goofy nonsense about shoes and school bag, Didn't expect much from a clueless and incompetent man sha,, |

Mr.President said at the debate yest that the level of the budget implementation is 80% but he is not sure, how wuld he feel if he went to a clinic in Nigeria, and the Doc gave him antimalarials and tells him to use 2 tabs 3times daily but that he isnt sure of the dose??!! Wouldnt he feel the Doc is incompetent??!! |
