APGA and ACN are getting stronger in the S/East and its just a matter of time before S/South collapses.Afterall, the wind of change is already blowing in Edo and Delta states.

Which part of Delta are you referring to
O boy as far as Delta goes,ALL the NASS candiddates were once PDP members;some even up untill February 2011.The wind of change you talk of is actually being fanned by PDP members, even for the governorship election, most of us are ready to kick Uduaghan out since our party is stuck with him, however the only thing that would make us return him is if Great Ogboru refuses to agree to our suggestion that we vote for him and he in turn decamps to Delta PDP thereafter,if he fails to do so,then we'd return Uduaghan and endure him for another four years.I just pray Ogboru plays reasonable politics

No need to celebrate cos we have been here before. 90% of the ACN and APGA candidates in the South East are PDP members and affiliates of GEJ who went there to get the tickets. When GEJ wins, they would all decamp back to PDP as usual.Even in Bayelsa where Labour Party is projected to win the Governorship, Alaibe is an associate of GEJ who would again definitely go back to PDP if he wins. The point is, people are voting for individuals more than party, thats why PDP could win in Gombe.

That is because our parties are similar in terms of view - they are all unclothed socialist - we do not practice ideological politics in Nigeria, get that. So in such political climate i think it is better to vote for individuals  and why parties when they are all literally the same.

Defection is not a dire problem.

It seems GEJ supporters are very jittery; no one has been talking about the Presidential candidates but GEJ supporters keep dropping snippets about how peoples mind would change on sunday or how GEJ should be commended for these outcomes, on how election winners would return to the PDP. My advice to them is to keep calm, it is just 6 days away, and since free and fair is nearly guaranteed, no one needs to worry the most popular man will win.

@IFELEKE
SENATE:
CPC: 23
ACN: 34
PDP: 10
…APGA: 9
LP: 8
ANPP: 6
According to your post, 82 seats has been occupied remaining 27 seats. This is really good news.

Thank you for this information. Thisday gave the following projections in their pool publications to favour their PDP pay masters. They are all now in total shame.

SENATE ELECTION OUTCOME ACCORDING TO THISDAY POOL.
PDP 35 SEATS
ACN 17 SEATS
CPC 9 SEATS
ANPP 4 SEATS
ACCORD PARTY 1 SEAT
DPP 1 SEAT
TOO CLOSE TO CALL 42 SEATS.
TOTAL 109 SEATS.

In my Etsako federal constituency and Edo North Senatorila district, ACN candidates have been declared winners. Feelers from my brothers and contacts in Edo state however confirm that the presidential election is for GEJ in Edo state.

@AfroCynic, So, ACN plus LP means a majority for them in both houses. If APGA is smart, it'll align with the Southern parties. I see a natural alliance between CPC and PDP.

Alliance kini? General Buhari said that, he is open to talk with every political except one, PDP. Don't even think it except you are day dreaming.

This is not a question of people's mind changing. People have made up their minds to vote GEJ even before this extra achievement. Let the final results come out. Compare the total votes cast and spread for each party after that, you can start crying. The presidential election is about votes and spread. PDP is the most visible party in the nation. They have competed everywhere and emerged either as 1st or second. Even without adding the votes from other associated parties, PDP has the highest votes cast.

There we go again. Let's wait till Saturday, but to add to the permutation:

The total number of votes cast for PDP vs. ACN vs. CPC will be an interesting thing to see. Then we need to realign a little bit. Most people that voted ACN in the SE and SS and even APGA will vote for GEJ. In the same light, most people that voted PDP in the north will also vote for CPC. This is because in the presidential elections, a lot of people will see it as between us and them - the SS and SE will likely rally round GEJ and the North will like say Sai Buhari as they will surely rather vote for their own than cast their vote for GEJ. That again will leave us with the SW (oh sweet SW)!!!.

This is my permutation though. But either ways, I still dey laugh Oo!!!

Folks should not get too excited until INEC start releasing official results. INEC not released a single one. PDP, as we all know can rig judgement day results. they can still rig at those INEC collation centers.

We have no video no live reports from those centers and I find that unfortunate considering the much advertised promise of openness.

What you have failed to realize is that no one in the core north will be voting GEJ. The fact remains that PDP has been roundly decimated in the NASS elections. If I were you, I'd not raise my hopes about GEJ getting more than 25% of the votes PDP members may have managed to get in the NASS election.

GEJ is not a good man he is a coconut head and the grandmaster of thieves. He runs a government based on settlement. He has settled some of our stars in the entertainment industry and they are now singing his song and some of our gullible people are buying it.

GEJ chose Jega because then he was still basking in the euphoria of his massive support by Nigerians because of his persecution by Turai (the first unofficial female president of Nigeria) and her cabal. He never would have predicted that by now his popularity would have waned. He was also very weak then and was under pressure from Nigerians and western countries to appoint a candidate that would be perceived as credible. He needed to do this to gain some trust and popularity and it worked for a while. For me, it is God that made things to play out the way they did. If GEJ had more time to settle down before appointing the INEC chairman perhaps we would have been singing a different song by now. GEJ wherever he is will be regretting and wondering what is going on.

But if he can successfully pull-this-off, history will perhaps judge him well. Leadership position is not a gift to be given out as a reward. It is a position of responsibility and only responsible people should be leaders.

Missing a very important fact that CPC will hardly have votes in many areas because they didn't have candidates.
Someone in the very first pages even pointed out that in their ward, CPC got some 50-something votes with no representative.
IF that is true, it shows that your opinion may be more distorted than you think.

Also there is nothing to suggest that because someone voted PDP as Senator, therefore they will vote PDP as President.
A lot of people in Alimosho LGA in Lagos as I have been following have voted PDP only because they don't want BRF.
To these people, it is anything but BRF. . . It's however naive to suggest that because they have done so, they will vote for GEJ.

See where I am coming from. There's a lot to be worried about for PDP.
Ribadu may well be President Elect come next week.

yeah, GEJ has more support than PDP itself. I have repeatedly told my friends in the north that GEJ is PDP's saving grace otherwise in a free and fair poll they would have gone down totally. However, the pro-Yar'adua and Pro-Zoning PDP members did GEJ a great favour had they been more discrete and tactful in the approach of the issue, GEJ would have been less popular and not gained as much sympathy. This is God for you He works in his own ways. But it will still be very close, CPC and Buhari are not push-overs, moreover they are stronger in a larger territory. The same way GEJ will enjoy more support in the south than PDP, Buhari will also enjoy more support than CPC in the north. For me the South-west will be the deciding factor, should ACN pull a great feet in the south-west or find themselves at par with PDP, then CPC will have an edge.

Chief INEC RECs have been announcing elections results. I've been watching Channels TV's live stream on YouTube and listened to a correspondent along with the Niger state REC confirming the figures of two House of Rep winners. One from CPC and the other a PDP candidate who happens to be an incumbent. If you read through the thread on pages 21-23, you'll find that the figures were being posted based on RECs announcements on NTA.

The fact is that the oppositions are really not strong in Kwara state. Most of the opposition candidates don't even reside in the state.
