I do feel you, but this is Nairaland where we make issues out of rumours or nothing. You'd be surprised to learn that GEJ did not meet with Tinubu. It is better to amuse yourself with these emotional outpourings than worry. Some of the posters are not even resident here nor voting, yet make definite statements like they really are in the know- and the fun is, a lot of folks here believe it. I've come to understand it as the norm in Nairaland.
The elections are not over yet. What is most important is that Nigeria shall come out stronger to the chagrin and consternation of many.

I think ACN and southwest is playing the spoiler's game in this election. If there were no presidential candidate for ACN, SW votes (majority of) will go to PDP. Now there is a Ribadu who will not win, there is a possibility that d ACN lords wud not to want to be in d bad books of the new govt. . .so they need to take a chance that will get them closer to the centre. They can decide to go for Buhari or GEJ (win-win) cos there is a belief that anyone who gets majority SW (b/w GEJ and BB) wins d election.

They may decide to cool down for GEJ, the surest way to d centre if u ask me. Tinubu shud recall his ordeal at d hands of OBJ (once bitten. . .)

GEJ is not begging for votes, he is only being a wise politician and increasing his margin at the same time. It is a game of interests. Such a move can be targeted to frustrate any "alliance" efforts. PDP does not need ACN to win the election. Even if PDP offers ACN a deal, it will be in the spirit of "sportsmanship". Such moves also help to reduce post-election tension.

This is rubbish and only fooools will believe this. If GEJ went to Lagos he is probably there to meet Bode George to perfect rigging strategy for Lagos. ACN and Tinubu know that any deal with PDP will only hurt ACN. They should ask ANPP how their deal with PDP played out. I am sure that 2003 will still be fresh in their minds.

Besides this story is suspect. You just have to read the second paragraph to decode the intention of this crap. The story is aimed at selling GEJ and creating doubt in the minds of people on the stand of ACN. I expect ACN to debunk such news soon and I hope that the admin will put it on the front page when that happens.
