I am trying to figure out how this work though.

I expect call up numbers to be specific as to time and date; A one time barcode to be presented to a scanner before the pickup trailer can enter.

If 100 drivers like they should photocopy a single ticket, when the ticket is scanned the real owner of the ticket will be displayed.

Our govt is our problem....Apapa is stinking with dirts and traffic, yet our govt make billions daily.

This new initiative will work if there will be consistency cos naija law na 1 month e dey last.

For goodness sake, and don't tell me these guys are using paper slips and tickets!!? They should have just created a secured app with driver and vehicle details and QR code or something. Such that when a vehicles is called up the app on the drivers phone generates the QR code, which is which will be scanned at the gate from the drivers phone to match the vehicle and driver profile before allowing them entry.

Adeboye also said that the photocopied tickets were also being altered with a view to beating the system that is being established to curb extortion and corrupt practices. He however, disclosed that the e-call up ticket has been programmed with a pin-code that cannot be changed or duplicated adding that “this fraudulent act cannot go far.”

It would always be prone to forgeries because no officer manning all the check post is provided with scanning devices to read the QR code’s and detect fake or altered ones.

Officers only sight the printed paper and collect small egunje and allow trucks to proceed to port for loading.
