Does not work that way....

1.Hayatou was chair of CAF for decades. Cameroon won some tournaments and lost a lot...and Cameroon at club level won only one AFCON champions league title in 2008 all throughout Hayatou's regime.

2.Hayatou's predecessor Tessema ....let's say that other African countries benefitted from his rule...his home country Ehtopia did not benefit much....

3.South Africa does not have a strong football system yet. Add the fact that SA players hardly make an impact abroad...compared to West and North African players...

Probably you didn't watch Afcon 1999 Nigeria/Ghana where George Finidi scored a penalty against Cameron during the penalty kick final match and the referee said the goal was not a goal. That final was played in our backyard (Lagos) ooooo0,guess who influenced work against Nigeria??Isa Hayatou of course.

Are there any other position greater than vice President
aside president

Haba... This your reasoning no be here oo my brother, it's just like you saying FIFA should have 6 vice president from the other 6 continent aside from Europe where the incumbent president hailed from.

There are positions like Secretary, treasurer, PRO et'al that could have been given to other regions not necessarily vice president.

You forgot that Amaju Pinnik was elected a member of FIFA council. A position which is almost highly coveted than that of CAF president if not by a mere title.

I hope south Africa and their over ambitious desperation for another nation cup glories will not drive him into xenophobia on our already dead Africa football

Re: Patrice Motsepe Elected CAF President by Stegano: 8:05am On Mar 13, 2021
Motsepe has always been involved in football development, and his business acumen will bode well for the entire African Football growth. You will see unprecedented growth in the quality and finances of CAF under Motsepe. He is already a billionaire whose passion is to have Caf compete on the same level with other confederations in terms of quality, administration and finances. He took Manelodi Sundowns from an ordinary club to being one of the giants in African football. Sundowns is now feared by the likes of Al Ahly and of course your Enyimba. Just a year ago Sundowns annihilated Al Ahly by five goals (something that has never happened to Ahly in its rich history). And guess who was the coach of sundowns then...the one and only son of the soil Pitso Mosimane. Pitso Mosimane was recruited to Sundowns by Patrice Motsepe and he hit the ground running and won Sundowns' first ever Caf Championship league and Super cup. He went on to lose at the quarterfinals of Club World Cup. As we speak, the same Pitso Mosimane is the first black African coach of Al Ahly and he has already won them a treble, including caf champions cup. He again recently lost the club world cup semifinal against Bayern Munich. So, in short all I am saying is that Caf, under the leadership of Motsepe, is heading in a right direction.

No, South Africa is not useless, we are just trying to compete like any other ambitious country. And we are not using our financial muscle to buy success because we believe in fairness, otherwise we would be winning every competition because we have all the money to do it. From 1957 to 1992 South Africa has not participated in any CAF competition. During our 35 year absence only a handful of countries won Africa Cup of Nations title. Only Cameroon and Egypt dominated CAF competition. We came back in 1992 and got hammered by a handful of countries....even our neighbour Zimbabwe hammered us by 4 goals to nil. But we soon improved and turned things around, and saw Orlando Pirates becoming the first team in Southern Africa region to win the Caf champions cup in 1995 when it beat Asec Mimosa at their own turf (Abidjan). Pirates went on to win the Super Cup. Pirates' feat gave South African soccer the confidence it needed, and Bafana Bafana went on to become the first Southern African country to win the Africa cup of nations in 1996. It is also interesting to note that we have also been to the world cup on few occasions...something that a lot of African teams/countries have not been able to do in our 35 year absence. We are no longer the whipping boys of Africa but one of the respected teams, and I know we have the respect of Egypt and Nigeria.

The so-called useless country has hosted the only Soccer World Cup to ever be hosted in Africa (2010), the Rugby World Cup (1995), Africa Cup of Nations (1996 and 20something), won Miss Universe and Miss Word on 3 occasions, hosted G20 meetings and other important world events/conferences. Is that how you describe useless??

we all knw how they went on rampage after losing ordinary football match to better opponent something Nigerians will laugh about and move on with their lives , infact Nigerians support better opponent against the their own home team something south African will not even try, south Africa won 1996 nation cup because Nigeria wasn't present, they were serving out their ban because after they won it in 1994 they still retain one of the best reg in Africa football in 1996 that made them trashed the like of Argentina and Brazil with their studded world class teams in 1996 Olympic game , south Africa managed to cbe present in 2010 world because of the hosting right, if not they wouldn't have been there, they couldn't even make it out of group stage... When it comes to spirit of sportsmanship , count south Africa out , if good footballing is something money can buy the will try to intimidate the rest of other countries in Africa just to be at the top, they hast that vexation spirit , the wake of last xenophobia what started it Because Nigeria was a better team in qualifier. Their mindsets are really bad

Let us leave xenophobia for another day...it is a political argument that deserves its space. Back to football, what do you mean by going on a rampage? As far as I can remember, we have never attacked any team even after losing. Furthermore, it is no excuse that you were not part of the 1996 Cup tournament, you have yourselves to blame. You guys have always been around, but why could you not host the world cup or any major world event? After all you are Africa's biggest economy. The answer is clear...bad administration. Now please, let the world witness the best administrator in Patrice Motsepe. We will now see more sponsorships for CAF, more prize money for Caf competitions, more participating teams in world cup, more tv rights given to all African countries/more African football games on tv, introduction of VAR etc. The South African Premier Soccer League is the best in Africa because of men like Patrice Motsepe (Mamelodi Sundowns president), Irvin Khoza (Orlando Pirates Chairman), Kaizer Motaung (Kaizer Chiefs chairman), to mention just a few.

@ I can only laugh at the bolded. Football doesn't work like that. For example in the world cup France 1998, South Africa drew 1-1 with Denmark, and the same Denmark went on to beat Nigeria 4-1...So going by that I can also say South Africa was better than Nigeria.

Geez! don't even start with their movies...worst sound engineering i've ever experienced, worst subtitles, worst editing and disproportionally long. You have to keep the remote in your hand because the volume goes up and down all the time.
