Now, it takes a man who acts like the Lord to the wife to demand for submission from the wife. The husband from that passage is likened to Christ, Paul said, “the husband is the head of the woman just as Christ is the head of the church”. The question here is, how did Christ head the church? Now, until a man learns to act like the Lord to his wife, and also learn to head the woman as Christ did the church, such a man has no right to expect submission and respect From the wife.

If the parameters of which you head your home isn't within the frame of how Christ headed and loved the church, then, your wife has no obligation whatsoever to submit and respect you.

The words written in Paul's letters are not said to come from Jesus Christ but from Paul, so let's learn to separate that from the very words of Jesus Christ. If you have ever owned a red-letter Bible, you would have noted how only those words attributed to the person of Jesus Christ are highlighted in red ink, while all others are left in black, and for good reason too.

Now, we are told that Jesus Christ is the Word of God, are we not? And according to the Word of God Himself, no follower of His can have two masters - that is the law.

So, anyone who then believes that a man is indeed set as "head" over a woman in much the same way as Jesus Christ is head over His Church(followers), also declares himself against Jesus Christ by His belief since Jesus Christ commands no such of His followers. And any woman who submits to such a belief is also against Jesus Christ because then such a woman by submitting to such an idea no longer belongs to Jesus Christ but rather to the one she surrenders herself to.

Jesus Christ declared in His teaching that your marriages are of this world and not of His Kingdom, so how then can the same Jesus Christ then declare such a thing as that which you read there in Paul's letter to the Ephesians?
