The fear and dread an average Nigerian have for the army stems from long decades of brutal military rules in Nigeria. Nigerians especially southerners over respect the army so much despite the fact that the Nigerian army have not single-handedly won any war in their history. Liberia and Sierra Leone was a joint effort. In the civil war, Egyptian pilots who were earlier trained flew Nigerian Soviet planes, they basically manned their air force. Most Nigerian army generals both past and present has no battlefield experience, they're products of quota system. In fact today, it's difficult to find "real battlefield general" in the Nigerian army.

Even a toddler knows that the Northern political class is behind the bandits and terrorists.


They purposely made the military weaker so that they can fulfill their purpose with socalled bandits.


There was a time the Nigerian army was involved in peacekeeping efforts in all of West Africa.


You've probably never heard of ECOMOG before.


Many of you here are too young to have heard of their exploits in Sierra Leone, Liberia etc. Till date those countries are eternally grateful for the role Nigeria played in their countries.


You think they'd be asked to assist the UN Peace Keeping Force in other parts of Africa if they weren't good?


Don't let what's happening now deceive you.


If the federal government wants to clear out all bandits and terrorists from Nigeria today, I promise you it won't take up to a week to decimate and obliterate them.


Apart from the fact that the FG is sympathetic towards these bandits and terrorists, there are some highly placed individuals both in and out of the military who are cashing out steady.


Beside, the western world gains a lot if there's instability in Nigeria because it means that


1. They can steal your natural resources while you're busy fighting each other, like France and China are doing


2. They can steal your human resources, the life blood of your nation like Canada, Australia and the US are doing.


3. They are afraid of a strong and viable world power coming out of Africa. They already have China, Russia, Iran and India to deal with.
