THEY NIGERIA ARMIES AGREED TO THAT OFFER WITH CONDITION ANYTIME THEY COME BACK AND THERES NO YAM TO EAT THEY WILL STILL KILL THE VILLAGERS AND REP THE WOMENS.
SO THE MAN WITH OTHER WOMEN START COOKING THE YAM. THE SOLDIERS EAT TO THEIR SATISFACTION. THEY EVEN RESTED AND LATER MOVE TO ANOTHER DESTINATION AND PROMISE TO COME BACK IN TWO DAYS.
IN TWO DAYS THE SOLDIERS ARRIVED BUT THIS TIME THEY ARE MORE. THE MAN HAVE ALREADY PREPARED THE YAM IN A VERY BIG POT WITH RED OIL. AS THEY LEFT, THE VILLAGERS BECOME CONFUSED BECAUSE THEY KNOW YAM MUST FINISH ONE DAY.
IKEDINACHIUKWU, A MAN AMONG THEM WHO RETURN FROM WAR FRONT BECAUSE OF INJURY. WITH HIS EXPERIENCE HE BUILD A LOCAL BUMB CALL UNUDUM PLACE IT INSIDE ITEIGWE. IN TWO DAYS THE ARMY CAME IN DOUBLE. THEY PLACE THE RED OIL UNTO OF THE ITEIGWE WHILE THE YAM IS INSIDE A BIG POT. THEY WERE EATING WITH CONFIDENCE AS IKEDINACHIUKWU TRIGGERED THE MASIVE EXPLOSION CALLED UNUDUM. MANY OF THE SOLDIERS DIE, SOME GOT SERIOUS INJURED WHILE SOME TRY TO ESCAPE BUT THE VILLAGERS MAKE SURE NON ESCAPE. THE VILLAGERS INFORM BIAFRA SOLDIERS. THEY CAME IMMEDIATLY AND PROTECTED THE COMMUNITY. WHEN NIGERIAN SOLDIERS CAME AGAIN THEY WERE ALL KILLED. THATS HOW THE WAR DID NOT PENATRATE UMUAHIA.
