(Mrs) Unyime-Ivy King conveyed the condolences of the Government and State to the family. “The passing of this illustrious son of Akwa Ibom is deeply painful and we share your pain at this moment of your bereavement. However, painful and emotionally wrenching as this sad loss represents, I want you to be consoled by the fact that in his rather short life, your late husband lived a life of deep impact and his humanitarian and altruist pursuits will stand out as shining example of a man who in the words of John Quincy Adam’s, inspired us to “dream more, learn more and become more”, the Governor said. The funeral service was preceded by a service of songs on Thursday, April 15, 2021, and conducted by House on the Rock Church. In his homily, the metropolitan and Co-Pastor of All House on the Rock Churches, Rev. Paul Adefarasin charged the family and friends of the Late Ubong King not to mourn, as the deceased merely transited his base. He praised the benevolent disposition of the deceased while alive and assured the family of the support of the Church and friends of the deceased. Ubon Marcus, Press Unit, Office of the Hon. Commissioner, Ministry of Information & Strategy, Akwa Ibom State.
