Shit and piss propaganda.....Igboho has long since apologized plus ogun state people should first handle the herdsmen chasing them to Benin republic. |

Yorexit: You should understand that he's refusal to meet them is his personal problem and opinion. And by the wah, he is only speaking for himself not for the whole people. Alake supporting One Nigeria isn't a sin because he has the right to support whatever he wants. And don't also think the Governors are also in support of it. By now, currently the agitation for a Yoruba nation is still at its 10% |

Sammy07: Most of the people you listed have been consulted and they’re fully in support of Yoruba nation. Or why do you think Ooni changed course and has publicly declared support for Yoruba nation? The only people left are politicians under Tinubu and his fake Obas. 2 Likes |

Yorexit: The agitation is currently at its 10% Is Seyi Makinde under Tinubu BTW there is no fake Oba in Yoruba land, everyone has equal right and you can't impose your believe on another person |

Sammy07: Obas who can't stop the nigerian army from using koboko to flog their baale, or stop herdsmen from chasing their subjects to Benin republic... |

Re: Stop Bullying Yoruba Monarchs, Youths Warn Ighoho, Supporters by Yorexit: 7:05pm On Apr 21, 2021 |
Sammy07: No, it’s not his personal opinion, it’s the right of the Yoruba women who traveled to Nigeria to meet as his subjects. The fact that he kept them waiting for 4 hours and refused to meet them is a crime on its own. Alake has the right to speak for himself and his family. He has no right to speak for Egba and Yoruba people. If he wants to speak for the people, he has to consult them before opening his mouth. There’s a reason why kings used to be dethroned by the people in Yorubaland for not following due process. 2 Likes |

Sammy07: That’s what you think. It’s going to shock you! I don’t regard 19th century Yoruba Obas are true Obas. True Obas had real kingdoms and empires that lasted centuries and fought wars to protect them. These ones were only gifted crowns and it shows in how they act. 2 Likes |

Sammy07: Waa gbayi. Me sef I want Oduduwa Republic. But it must be by consensus and buy-in of the overwhelming majority. Those that don't yet agree with it should not be called names like 'slaves' or other epithets, but rather reasoned with, because if dem plenty enough, they can end up becoming spoilers and scatter the whole objective. Believe it or not. I can't claim to be more yoruba than them just because they don't yet see things from my vantage point. I also think the agitation needs more intellectuals that can sell and make it more attractive to more Yorubas. Yorubas are very educated, intelligent, and dynamic people. You can't just expect to appeal to them via emotions alone. Some may fall for that, but many, if not most, are very rational, and would therefore ask thought-provoking and valid questions, because the project is meant to be about our collective future and therefore can't and should not be left in the hands of an incompetent lot. It should not just be about being free from Fulani herdsmen and their atrocities. We need to start hearing more about how the new country would be structured, have debates about economic models, etc. We can't just say we will leave all that planning till when we get independence. The planning has to start NOW because those that fail to plan, plan to fail. South Sudan is a typical example. They spent so much time fighting for independence, only to turn against themselves after getting it because they just weren't prepared for the task and challenges of nation building. The best and brightest of the Yoruba race need to be persuaded and coopted into the project/agitation, so that we don't export Nigeria's problems into the new country. 6 Likes |

Sammy07: That's why he's an oba....he should know. Back in the day if an oba couldn't protect his kingdom he was given the calabash with eggs and forced to commit suicide....the current breed of obas are fat, weak and old ceremonial local chiefs doing basically jack shit receiving federal allocation.... 1 Like |

WisdomFlakes: You made valid points but why must we depend on an intellectual who would probably intellectually sell us out......we Yoruba's are too book oriented, will an intellectual save you when herdsmen or bandits come and attack your villages, one of our intellectual who is a professor of law and a SAN is currently serving as vice/assistant to a school cert holder, what has this intellectualism gotten us as yoruba's when majority of our graduates are unemployed and without jobs yet bandits, militants and terrorists are being given armnesty and special treatment....I hope this intellectualism won't kill some of us. 2 Likes |

WisdomFlakes: This shows you’re the one posting based on emotions and haven’t taken time to follow the movement. All of you just see Igboho and the guys on YouTube. But they have started having Town Hall meetings in the US and a lot of Yoruba professionals, including ex-US military veterans are part of it. The movement is getting bigger by day. The same is also happening in the UK. Igboho and his people are also doing theirs in Nigeria. 2 Likes |

Why can't every section of yoruba society be equal stakeholders in this? Una never ready. I am tired of talking abeg. Maybe you guys should go and clone Nnamdi Kanu and then copy and paste his template. I'm done here. 5 Likes |

Re: Stop Bullying Yoruba Monarchs, Youths Warn Ighoho, Supporters by MrMaestro: 7:29pm On Apr 21, 2021 |
BSdetector: This. I agree wholeheartedly with this. Educated morons is what I call them. The same educated people that essentially want an intellectual hand job to stroke their own egos. Nations aren't created simply by intellectual discussions. No country worth a damn was created without strife and conflict. Yorubas that want to avoid that need to come to this realization NOW. It is beyond naive, and it's usually the intellectuals that are dumb enough to believe this nonsense. I am an intellectual myself as well, but unlike others I realize the importance of soldiers that are aggressively patriotic to engage the every day Yoruba man and woman. People who only want a Banji Akintoye fail to realize he's been UNSUCCESSFUL for YEARS without Igboho. Yet Igboho comes on the scene and so many more people now talks about Akintoye. There's a reason for that. People like Igboho awaken the masses, Akintoye as an intellectual cannot. Period. |

WisdomFlakes: Chill guy.... I'd never support an Nnamdi kanu clone or the likes leading anything that has to do with yoruba....but, it's the failure of intellectuals to act in times of crisis that gives rise to the likes of Igboho and other....... it's like someone not providing solution or taking action but condemning those who act. |
