How many of your senators or governors have taken any real action concerning what is going on in yorubaland Can a yoruba man try what the fulani criminals are doing in the north Do you want to be slave to anyone forever? Tinubu doesn't care if you or any member of your family is next victim of fulani atrocity yet he wants your vote because he is yoruba.
Majority of nigerians foolishly submit their freedom or destiny to very few people and will never question their action or inactions - but they will hope things will change. Now your parents have told you Nigeria will be better, their parents told them same thing - you are about to tell your children same thing who is fooling who?? Look at happenings in the north, look at Pantanmi and Gumi are those the kind of people you want your children to share the country with? Are you not seeing all the injustice around you in your so called useless Nigeria.
Do I agree with everything he is doing or stand for, ofcourse not and for the fact that he is or once a political thug, that do not make me his fan. But I base my judgement on message and not the messenger. I could relate with his message to a very large extent. Now tell us what your problem is with his message instead of looking at his personality.
I am yet to see any constructive criticism of his message except some fools that don't know what a good country should look like. Are we barbarians here that one man would begin to boss over us all without a clear vision of what holds for us tomorrow? That is the point some of you don't get. You are turning this into a 'us vs. them' thing, even amongst Yorubas, when in fact ALL yorubas are supposed to be treated as equal stakeholders in the agitation. And this will end up working against the whole agitation until you all accept that you don't have a monopoly of knowledge.
There are Yorubas in Benin Republic and Togo, and they are ok with where they are, even though some Yorubas here may feel they will be better off in one single country with other yorubas. But in the real world, we all can never think alike, that's the essence of freedom, democracy and independent thought.
The politicians you are vilifying for being bad, corrupt, and whatnot, they also once spoke like you are doing right now, condemning others before getting to the position themselves. And whether you believe it or not, in Oduduwa Republic there will still be corrupt politicians, there would also be opposition parties that will oppose the ruling party in power because it is human nature to disagree on positions and in principle, and no one deserves to be blackmailed for that.
Some clans may even later feel marginalized and decide they would be better off on their own, even after getting Oduduwa Republic. Yes, it can happen. Why? Again, because it is human nature. That desire for separation is what led to the creation of several states in every region in Nigeria today.
Or what if the Yorubas in Lagos decide to opt out of the Republic? Or if in a referendum some yoruba clans (or Muslims) decide not to be a part of the new country? Or you think that's farfetched? That can certainly happen if the hardline promoters continue acting like they alone know what's best for everyone else without taking other opinions into consideration.
Bottomline is, some of you guys should quit thinking your position is the only valid one. You can't force all Yorubas to think the same way through blackmail and threats, no matter how valid you may feel your position is. Kole ever work. What is your position on this. Where were the intellectuals when our ports were handed over to northerners but southerners has never become a minister in FCT?. Before you say these are the creation of military, let me remind you that there is no different between them and the likes of Igboho, they were just only fortunate to exploit the era of military in Africa to perpetrate their ethnic agenda. As it is, our elites and intellectual are too selfish to bother about the generality of Yoruba race. That is why 60 years of independence has left us where we found ourselves today 3 Likes |

..Fulani are terrorising every West Africa country as I chat. Oduduwa Republic wouldn't be an exception....
I wanted to reply you but after reading the quoted part of your post, I had to change my mind because it would have been a waste of my time and energy.
So because others failed you must fail as well? Please take a look at the bolded statement again and see if it makes sense to you. Is there any logic in that statement just be sincere with yourself and take away your emotion for a second
We don't have to see things same way and I will always respect your opinion but I can only engage you if it is logical. Speaking about logic, one would have expected you will make an inference from that information , but apparently, it's just emotion from you and nothing more. I really don't have the energy to go back and forth as well. |
