spymaster:
Boko Haram is no longer fighting a gureilla war, but a conventional war. There's a need for us to change tactics. I do not subscribe to the idea of a Super camp for the military as it makes them vulnerable to attack. Boko Haram is no longer a rag tag army as we are made to believe. Man for man, weapon for weapon, the Nigeria Army is better, however it is the battlefield tactics and commanders that Boko Haram triumph. Boko Haram commanders are veterans of the Libya and Syria wars. So many times, the attack on our troops have been calculated. They attack from 3-4 directions using advance troops that can be sacrified. Boko Haram commanders staying afar from the battle noticed where there's high concentration of power and where there's weak concentration. Boko Haram then attack in mass at the weak concentration with majority of their forces. Because our troops lack battlefield discipline due to inexperienced recruits, the line will collapse and the super camp overrun. They will continue to be sitting ducks at the supercamp. The troops must also learn from the collapse of the Iraqi army in Mosul or the Sierra Leone Army/ECOMOG during the RUF uprising in Freetown. Just like the fall in Damasak, attack starts from the weak point with greater mass. Using civilians as cover, they can rapidly advanced on our troops location. With the confusion, our troops falls into disarray and retreat to the next super camp leaving the town to Boko Haram. Even if our troops manage to repel them, Boko Haram purposefully keep another unit of their troops in the rearguard. They deliberately allow our troops to pursue them and then drag them into an ambush with their rearguard troops. We have lost so many troops to Boko Haram using this tactics.
For those of us still rejoicing about the Super Tucano jets, we should be cautious as airpower has never truly defeated the enemy in most warfare. The US army learned a bitter lesson in the Battle of Iwo Jima and Saipan during the World War 2.
We need to change our approach to battle if we want to defeat the enemy. We need better battlefield tactics as well as intelligent field commanders. Our best should lead the troop and appointment must not be based on nepotism. If we can get military advisers from the West or Israel, it will be an added advantage. War has gone past dashing advances in battle, but calculated approach that will anticipate every moves of the enemies. A group of sheep commanded by a lion can defeat a group of lion commanded by a sheep. #Victoryforourgallanttroop
interesting submission.

Publish the names of soldiers killed. They are most likely to be from the south or Christians. If the FG is sincere about the fight, the service Chiefs should be from the south. What is happening now is carefully planned genocide against the Christian soldiers. And no one is talking. When they are through eliminating a large percentage of the Christian soldiers, they will lunch their Jihad with minimal opposition.

they should keep hijacking recruitment in the army and everything. by the time they finish killing those they've placed there on partiality, maybe that's when they will infuse objectivism in the recruitment process of our military.

Rubbish.....

With what's happening at front lines, why FG so eager to send more troops to southeast instead of confronting the emerging challenges posed by Bokoharam? There is more to this war!

The casualty rate of Nigerian Soldiers is precariously high, and Boko Haram terrorists are carting away our arms and amunitions, and use it later to kill our soldiers and civilians

This should be a concern to Nigerian governmen.

Without employing technology and intelligent gathering, it would be difficult to win this war

There's war in the North....
There's also war in the south south...
There's war in the East..
There's also war going on in the south east..

Yet some people are looking at it, as if it was meant to happen...

Nigerian is collapsing gradually...
Yet some people feel comfortable....

Buy the time, they finish killing all the soldiers and. Police men...

Then, the government will have no other option, Dan to withdraw their so called police escorts...
Na that time the war go reach there HOUSE!!

I REST MY CASE!!

I remember tinubu advising FG to recruit 50million youths into the military for fighting of insurgency.

They using the life of the poor for gambling.

Doing damage control here and there. Too bad.

Please ESN open your eyes. The Boko Haram has a tactical blueprint. Military installations must be reduced to inoperable state.

The hallmark of Northern Nigerian army is denial. They have lost over 50,000 soldiers (mainly of Southern Origin) since the insurgency started.
There is no way they can defeat boko haram.
The monumental mistake of APC led government of the North was the 2016/2017 recruitment and absorbent of civilian JTF and repented boko haram into Hausa-Fulani dominated Northern Nigerian army.
The average Borno indigene is a born fanatic and a jihadist.
This was the reason, the Othman Dan fodiyo caliphate was never successful in Borno. They will always be loyal to She-cowu Abubakar and ISIS.
An army that is grossly infiltrated by the enemy would always loose at the war front.
No matter the imported tactics from the West.
Remember, the South African machineries imported by Bad luck Jonathan, made similar accusations against the government that most of their tactics were known to boko haram fundamentalists in advance. They only advance against them following the change in tactics (keeping future plans secret)
The average Kanuri indigene trust Shekau more than the military.
Same way ESN enjoy good patronage in Biafra nation. The implication of this is that the new security outfit set up by the politifcian will be grossly infiltrated by ESN members from satellite branches.
Go to the primary, secondary schools and Universities in the East, it will surprise you how much the people are craving for the actualization of Biafra sovereignty.
Buhari is the grandpatron of boko haram and miyetti Allah cattle and terrorist breeders association of Zoogeria.
