You might NOT have been scammed like a lot of people are saying. You can track the status of your application on the Canadian website to confirm if the case has been determined or not. The mistake you made is before you applied, you should have checked how long the application will take. Canadian immigration website always specifies that. I learnt it is taking one year plus due to Covid-19 now.

You will never get any reasonable respond here, cos most of them are kids and inexperience. My mom did her Biometrics since September last year and she yet to get any feedback till today, .So as far you have done your biometric, just relax, if you're rejected you will surely be notify.

Firstly don't listen to what many people are saying here, I vididly believe that your agent didn't scam you, Canada PR can take much longer due to the covid-19.

Since your documentation not online submission that will take you almost 6month, but if you submit your documents online that can only take you three months process, so you need to be extremely patient, and keep on teaching out to your agent time to time

So to me your agent didn't scam you because you did submission at VFS office, so you need to relax your mind and be more patient

But how many months now have you applied?

Will be two months in a few days time, am always in contact with this particular agent

Oga anyone can do bio metrics o your agent applied for visiting visa for you Canada does not issue work visa they only do that when you get a Canadian job offer and the company files for you. in a nutshell you have been scammed

Canada is not treating applications for visiting, studying etc, they keep giving different kind of excuses but collect payment for visa fee..

I have applications that was submitted since last year Oct and not yet treated, even another one before the Corona that was March 2020 and not yet treated.

What actually causing delay in treating applications is only known to them, UK still remain the best when it comes to treating of visa applications while US embassy are mad as the available date in Lagos is Jan 2024 while Abuja is May 2022

The embassy is responsible for most of the delay which I am aware...until u have applied for a visa and successfully traveled you will never be � conversant with the process

Biometric doesn't matter and the documents you submitted is nothing to Canadian embassy even if you submitted fake documents at the biometric center and they noticed that is fake they won't say anything because its not there job to decide on your documents but Visa consular. In 2021 people like you still give agent money for visa? Honestly you have been scammed.

You have been scammed. There's no country especially so called first countries like Canada will issue work visa from your home country. There's no proof of your employer from Canada. You need to go use any means to collect your money back.
l wonder why people still fail to do research and fall for this scam.

Please house I applied through an agent told me is work Visa paid half of the money required. Since 2018 when I ask him said is processed in Ghana. Got him arrested at a point promising the Visa will be out up till now have not seen anything. Now can I contact the bank is using to complain of fraud and to aid in tracking him or EFCC. vfs does not process visa its only am agent of Canadian embassy . These agents apply for work permit using fake job offer or no job offer, you do biometrics ( it settles your mind) and later when the file is open for processing you will get rejected and lose your 1m you paid the agents. Ask yourself have you seen some who did Dubai visa by agent== yes many.

Yes, atleast I can vouch for myself but it has processes.

I don't know if things have changed but this was how I did mine in 2008.

1. Got a job through a close pal who signed me up with a retiree who just opened an HR office in Edmonton. Got a job at a construction company.

2. My manager in Canada then applied for Labour Market Opinion (LMO) for me.

3. All necessary investigations we're carried out by tradesecret and I was offered a one year positive LMO with the instructions that I must pass my trade test within 90-180 days after arriving Canada.

4. I now used my positive LMO, Contract and other documents to applied for working permit.

It is so sad that most Nigerians don't understand this process and thinks it is something they can just do through some hungry agents.

I don't know if processes have changed but tradesecret are government agency in Canada and they still exit. So, it is not possible to get a job without being approved by tradesecret. However, things might have changed.

Lastly, you don't have to pay anyone to get a job. Why will you pay? It is the responsibility of your boss to pay for all expenses including a one way ticket to the site.

I am working on something pretty soon with my colleagues in Canada but still arranging somethings for now

Why will you pay to get a job? You can even sure to the agent? This is just scam. Try to move with people and not just social platform rubbish.

Meet with people who you know are not traveling agents but do travel a lot or has experience in traveling. Thank you

Your company will file for you at tradesecret who are VFS? Investigations regarding your work experience will be carried out directly by them and not VFS? Who are VFS? Let me check them up
